We were looking for a specific restaurant for lunch by the river and passed La Chaumiere en route so stopped out of curiosity to look at the menu. Turned out to be a great decision! Beautifully presented salads with much variety and the tartiflette was superb. Carafe wine (red and white) was good value and enjoyable.

I came to this restaurant in the summer 2015 with a cultural group (Scotland) in order to have a representation.
We ate so much, the Scottish still told me this delicious food.
Indeed, it's French traditional in a charming and relaxing atmosphere.
We have so many ingredients in order to have a great meal.
So you're visiting the department, the city or anything else, don't hesitate to come and enjoy your mealç

This is a very pleasant restaurant with tables overlooking the river. We found the service friendly and professional. My husband had the steak tartare and I had a huge plate of duck prepared in a wide variety of ways, with salad etc. Everything was very tasty and the bill very reasonable.

The Le Petit Leon is a seasonal restaurant in the south of France open from June till September each year. Executive Chef Nick Honeyman from Paris Butter in Auckland New Zealand servers up a mix of French flavours with his own creative twists. The restaurant is an outside Seating experience in a beautiful garden. For more information please visit the website.
Beautiful setting, under the shade of trees in a walled garden, in the beautiful village of st laon. Lovely food too The menu choice is the same every day and the restaurant is only open during the summer months. This year we had 2 meals...MoreHi Kim! Thank you for your review and for dining with us twice! Our menus change throughout the season depending on the produce available in the region. Hopefully you were able to try a few different things during you visits! Thanks again!

We arrived, unannounced, with a party of 13. They quickly set up a table for us and produced drinks. All the service was prompt and we very much enjoyed the food.

Located in the heart of a small village in Perigord Noir, Aubas (24290). Just 2 minutes away from Sauveboeuf castle and 5 from Montignac-Lascaux, our team welcomes you at"La Table d'Aubas" to enjoy a traditional cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Large outside terrasse in a peaceful environment. Menus from 9 to 17€ including soup, stater, main course, cheese, dessert and coffee.
Visited here for three reasons. Firstly because we were staying in the general vicinity. Secondly because of the reviews on Tripadvisor and lastly, because we wanted to see if the amazingly low prices being charged were true and I'm pleased to report yes they are. Soup, starter, main, cheese course, dessert less than 13 euros a head, unbelievable! Simple food but prepared very nicely in a neat clean little restaurant that's in a touristy area but is a bit off the beaten track.
Great value, would definitely go back and would wholeheartedly recommend.

We had lunch here in August 2017, five adults, three children and a baby. We arrived at 14:00 on the dot, closing time for lunch, but the beautiful Aurelie found us a table, despite the lack of a reservation and a very busy restaurant. The lunch was excellent, and the children were well catered for. I strongly recomment Restaurant de la Poste.

Lovely riverside cafe with great food and a lovely ambiance. The only snag is that you have to queue in the very tiny shop to get your food and it is then not easy to turn round with food and get out again. If they had enough staff to provide service it would be so much better for actual meals. for snacks throughout the day however that is no problem which is great if you need a drink and cake after swimming in the river!

Bookings are essential-as the restaurant is full daily, the locals are well aware of the quality of cuisine provided and the cost of12Euros. The 6 courses change daily, we were given homemade soup, pate, coq au vin, plat du fromage, dessert and coffee. Before we sat down there was alreadya bottle of red wine, water jug, bread and mustard on the table, which are included in the menu. I was amazed and delighted with the homemade courgette & melon confiture served with the fromage! This is what a restaurant should be friendly, with prompt service and fresh meals . After that meal there was only need for a light snack for dinner!
