We almost had to bribe the waiter to bring use a second (and third) round of beers, but that was the only negative of our evening. He was helpful in bringing the six of us a mix of starters (not the standard mix that was on the menu). Same for main dishes, we let him make most of our decisions - and we were thrilled with he amount and taste. Everyone thought ever dish was outstanding. Go. Enjoy.

I was in the hotel and I was searching something outside and avoid to stay in the hotel. At the end, I choose to stay here and it was a great choice.
Appetizer: pumpkin soup. very satisfactory.
Steak: well cook, more tender than other restaurants.
Wine: I wanted a german red wine, and it was ok. We know that german wines are not like italian or french, on average I mean.
dessert: sesam mousse. Very interesting.
Price. around 45 €. I think it's a good value for what I ate.
Reccomended

I was staying in Monheim and read the reviews on TripAdvisor about Raphael's being the best. Thought the place looked OK, but you don't get the promised view of the Rhine at the back of the restaurant.... I took the 3 course menu - carpaccio OK, I took the grilled fish which was OK - scallop a bit rubbery but no vegetables just a side salad with not much dressing and for dessert what was advertised as a cake but which turned out to be a cake about the size of a stock cube and then ice creams. Local wine wine OK. The BIG problem here is that they do not take credit cards. I knew this from the website but thought that we would find one of the 12 cards in my wallet which would suit....NOT. The waitress kept asking me if I had any German cards - I told her that I was English and lived in Brussels so obviously not. I told her that the restaurant was in walking distance of some of the biggest companies in Germany/Europe - major divisions of Bayer and BASF which was where most of the people in the resto were from.........Finally I had to look in my wallet for cash and just found enough. She explained that the credit cards took a big % and that some people's credit cards were not good - hence cash...Don't all restaurants run this risk? Really NOT GOOD ENOUGH for a restaurant with international clientele and pretensions at being a sophisticated place. I would hesitate to go back and would have to make sure I had alot of cash!

Dined at Casa Luigi last month while in town for business. This is a "nice" restaurant - white table cloths, bottles of wine to create the wine bar ambiance, and other tchotchkes to create the appearance of being "nice." I don't want this review to come across as too cynical: Waitstaff is friendly, food comes out in a timely manner, taste is not bad either. However it was not as fantastic as the prior reviews had led me to believe.

This restaurant was such a great find, especially since I have not had a decent burger in Germany until today. I could not have asked for a better burger. It actually had real bacon, and melted American cheese, which are not so easy to find here. The atmosphere reminded me of most sport-bars back home. My husband is a fan of baby-back ribs these were fall of the bone, tasty with a spicy b-b-Q sauce (also available non-spicy) and the slab was huge. Service was great. I highly recommend it.

I happened to be around when the asparagus season started. Thus, several local dishes are served with asparagus is various forms. I tried out one recommended by the waitress: it was simply amazing! (I started with a delicious spicy soup).
I had a couple of local beers which were OK.
Service is very descent. The place is clean. Toilets are not smelly and clean.
I will definitely come back to this restaurant.

I decided on this restaurant after wasting my time traveling to another restaurant in the area that was suppose to be open but I found closed. I am very glad that the first restaurant was closed.
Our family of 5 was seated right away and we were fortunate to get a seat as it was rather small and it was quite busy when we walked in though it appeared that most were there for Takeout.
I have 3 kids ages 12-14 and they ordered salami and margherita pizza as well as the mushroom pizza brot and all 3 liked their respective choices. My husband had a classic burger and I had a chicken burger and both of us were very happy with our choices.
All the staff we encountered were pleasant and when we come back to the area in the future, we plan on eating here again. The prices were VERY reasonable, food was good, and the kids loved it. What more could one ask for?

This restaurant just opened and is surprisingly great for a small town. The broth for my daughter's chicken soup tasted homemade from scratch. Everything was fresh and delicious with lots of fresh vegetables. Their menu says they don't use much MSG and that one can request to have none, which is a big plus for me and something I have not found before in Asian restaurants in Germany. Highly recommended!

We went there as a small group for diner. The restaurant has been nicely renovated and offers a decent selection of pizzas, pasta and burgers. The real nice part is the outside Terrace / beach area. The food itself is good and the service quite friendly. Parking is easy.
