I visited this place on my first stay in the area, while staying at the Doubletree in the stadium. I had looked up local places on google maps, this place seemed like a decent walk away. The bar staff in the hotel advised me to go into town instead, but I didn’t listen and walked anyway. The welcome was friendly, the popadom chutneys very good, and the advice was good also - the recommendation I got was the Ganges special. It was very good, in a larger portion than usual - all for well under 20 quid (including a Bangla beer). Not sure if it can accommodate big groups, but I’d come here with my mates (if I had any round here, that is).

We hope to see you soon. Hannah (Manager) & James (Head chef)
Firstly, huge congratulations on the wonderful Cross Keys refurbishment it really has made a tremendous difference. You all should be extremely proud, the new decor is very tastefully done with all new tables and very comfy chairs with a log burner for those cold winter nights. The Gardens yet to be finished but I’m sure will be done in the next few weeks.
With a brand new menu to choose from we opted for the Mushroom starter which was very enjoyable. Mains I chose the Ribeye steak which was just superb, cooked to perfection, the wife had Sirloin steak which was as equally good. The staff were as usual very tentative with the ambiance superb though out. The Price ? you pay for what you get and that is Quality. We look forward to our next visit very soon.

food:- excellent, fresh, well prepared, good sized portions
service:- efficient,friendly,courteous,accommodating
ambience:- inviting,comfortable
Although no dedicated disabled toilet, the units provides ease of access for a wheelchair to be pushed into them.
The waiting staff were only too happy to answer any and all questions about the specials and general information on what ingredients were used in them, as well as the standard menu items
The landlord also made himself known to us and said to simply notify either himself or a member of staff when we were ready to order, which for my own personal preference is a bonus.. not having a pair of eyes looking over your shoulder (what would seem like) every 5 minutes asking if i were ready to order food or drinks, let us relax and enjoy the place at own our speed
Will definitely be returning to the cock inn, just to "get away" from the robotic service industry to a family run, enjoyable, relaxing place, damn the calories, full speed ahead

Come on in and enjoy our fabulous new bar, set in the heart of Milton Keynes' Theatre District. We offer a wide range of bottled and draught beers from all around the world, as well as fantastic, quality wines and really great cocktails. Slug's seasonal menus mean that we serve excellent fresh produce, at its peak, all year round. Our dedicated team also has the experience and knowledge necessary to offer all of our customers a consistently top-notch service.
I have been to the Slug and Lettuce MK on a number of occasions and have always had an enjoyable experience. I would recommend "the Slug" for both a casual drink and bite to eat when catching up with friends as well as a place to go on a night out on a weekend.
And lets not forget the sporting Events, a good but friendly atmosphere for all major sporting events.

We have been to Wolverton and loved it so thought we would try CMK tonight for my birthday with friends. Things did not go well at all in many ways...
Firstly starters: Some people had ordered the dumplings and some the pumpkin. One of each came out so two starters of our eight required. After about 10mins these two people had to eat them before they were stone cold, then another pumpkin and dumplings came out, so two more starters which the next two people ate which was odd as they were same as first set so why ten mins later. Then about another 10mins the chicken thighs all arrived for the rest. After we queried what was going on here we were told “the manager has gone down to the kitchen to sort out the chef”!!!! Seriously I’ve never ever experienced such poor speed of food arriving at any restaurant I’ve ever been to.
One member of our party was gluten intolerant and he had an in-depth menu chat with the staff so knew what to order and made things very aware...
Then mains come and the speed is more acceptable. We are half way through eating and a member of staff came over to my friend and said “I’m sorry sir that isn’t actually gluten free we got it wrong”!!!! He’d eaten half of it!!!! Akasaka have you any idea how serious this is? Thankfully my friend is “only” made to feel unwell and feels rough for a couple of days after eating gluten whereas if he had been a celiac it could have been somewhat more serious!! To make matters worse the staff said “The chef says it doesn’t have much gluten in it!”.. Shocking, have you any idea how these allergies work? Quantity doesn’t matter...
So... My friend goes to the toilet and sticks his fingers down his throat to sick back up the starter which he has had to pay for (come onto that) and then they say he can’t have dinner as they clearly are taking about half an hour to cook things (and we were off to theatre) so he eats a tiny bowl of rice for his dinner!!!
Remember the restaurant is very well aware of all issues, it’s not that we didn’t tell them, they told us about the gluten free issue and they know one member of our party has not eaten and they told us the manager was “sorting out things in kitchen”
The correct response here would have been the manager coming to see us and put things right (not to mention apologise about gluten and check he’s ok!) as they knew about it however no the bill comes for the complete meal including my friends starter that he’s had to sick up in their toilets and we’ve all eaten half the meal separately from each other. Great going Akasaka, you really need to sort out some issues here!!!
Until you can show me that you’ve resolved some issues this report stands. Appalling and I advise any gluten free sufferers to avoid. Apologies if this goes against Wolverton but I can’t find a CMK dedicated one but when it does appear this is being posted there also as it was seriously a poor show!!!

We are a family run caribbean cafe, inspired by the love of all things Jamaican. Our menu offers freshly prepared dishes, cooked with a true Caribbean flavour.
I saw an advert for the Blue Mountain Yard and decided to book it for my daughters 16th as we like to try all types of food.
Well i do not want to say any more as they will get busy and i will not be able to get in.
The whole experience was first class. The people were great, able to tell us all about the food they were serving and giving us helpful guides.
The food was outstanding and you can tell it was made with love and passion.
It was one of the best eating experiences we have had in very long time and i recommend a lot of food places to come here to see how its done properly.
Well done to you all and we will be back.

Discover the exciting taste of Antep Kitchen, offering the aromatic & traditional flavours of Turkey in our intimate & relaxing resturant
Antep Kitchen is my favourite Turkish restaurant in all of Milton Keynes. The food is consistently of a high standard and yummy. The sharing platters and meze are particularly good value.
I like to come to this restaurant with friends and family. It can be very noisy and lively, at the weekends and so not necessarely a good choice if you want a quiet romantic meal for two.
