I have visited this restaurant on several occasions. The food has always been delicious, we have sampples a wide variety of their dishes and found them all to be original, of excellent quality and great value. The ambience if lovely and characteristic, the owner Antonio and his wife Simona (the chef) are really friendly and polite. A perfect dinner with family, friend or just as a couple! If eating in Mesagne I highly recommend this place!!!

Good regional cuisine, but nothing that special. Some dishes are quantity rather than quality (e.g. antipasti terre e mare, 2 large plates so best shared). Risotto was good, but it arrived 10 minutes after the rest of the table. Gambas were most enjoyable dish. Service seemed very stretched, albeit on a busy summer night, but they should have had 1 more waiter working. Would not rush back.

At the Incontro, you will most probably be the only tourists. The place was full of locals, and I was glad that I can speak some Italian. We had excellent and fresh food. No show for tourists. Just the real Italy as we like it. Give it a try and dive into the South.

We almost missed this restaurant in Mesagne, 15 minutes from our hotel, having spent 10 days exploring further flung parts of Puglia. That really would have been a shame. It was quite late Sunday lunchtime and, together with two friends, we weren't sure if we would still get a table since the small interior was full of families enjoying their food. We were offered a table outside the restaurant (there was only one other table of two) and since it was a lovely day, we gratefully accepted. We never saw a menu, but Bruno, one of the sons, took care of us from the moment we arrived. He recommended the antipasti to start with, along with the house red and white wines. We thought that sounded like a good idea since we didn't want to have too much lunch! I believe I remember eating 13 varieties of antipasti, each one as good as the last. It was an amazing culinary experience giving us an insight into the variety of fresh produce available in the area and the many ways dishes can be prepared. I couldn't believe we were being offered pasta afterwards! Normally we would have said no, but my husband and I were curious as to whether it could also be so good. Sensible portions of spaghetti with sea urchin sauce and tortelloni with fresh ricotta were indeed a treat and went down very well. We weren't so keen on the house white, which was a little sweet for us, so my husband and I shared a bottle of dry white wine.
This is a real family restaurant with mama and papa cooking in the kitchen and the two sons welcoming guests, serving and making sure that everyone is comfortable and enjoying the food. Bruno showed us the wine bar (a converted grocery shop) that they have next to the restaurant with live music in the main season.
I'm sorry we discovered this restaurant on one of our last days as we would definitely have gone back more than once. But we will definitely go back next time we visit Puglia! In the meantime, keep up the excellent family tradition!

If you want to try something else than pizza or pasta, check out this place. You choose your meat, they weigh it and then put it on the grill. You can choose different side dishes to go with it. Really fresh meat and even nice home made red wine. Very nice, friendly and helpful owners, who try their best even in english and french. We loved it.

We stumbled across this restaurant while meandering around Centro Storico. It's situated in a quaint side street, and feels intimate. The menu had a few dishes that were different to the norm for the region. We had antipasti followed by steak in a beer gravy... Delicious! The service was attentive and friendly... Highly recommended.

We visited the absolutely beautiful Villa Leta this summer after a friends recommendation. Located in the stunning country side surrounded by fields full of fig and pear trees the location is simply full of charm. The food is equally as fantastic as the setting and extremely reasonably priced. The owners Mino and Laura have created a varied menu offering a mix of dishes perfect for a family outing.
We cannot speak highly enough of Villa Leta. A fantastic find in Puglia not to be missed.

some some friends have advised me this typical Apulian restaurant. all the dishes were delicious,great pizza and excellent staff.. is a very pleasant place, we spent a lovely evening and we definitely will be back! I recommend it to everyone!

I really enjoy going for a beer in this pub, where it's not difficult to make quickly some friends and chat about whatever kind of argument in front of a pint of Guinness - the only one in the town.
Meals are prepared with excellent meat and they are getting a way better since opening. Staff is friendly and kind, and you can listen to really good music while seated outside in the beautiful historic centre.
