It is located in a corner of the adikumbeshwarar temple complex !. Run by Brahmins, it has a very simple and rustic appearance. But appearances are deceptive and the foods served there are really excellent !. I had a relish of the soft and fluffy tasty idlis with chutney and podi dosa. Excellent. Coffee is also really good and the whole experience offers value for money !. Excellent taste, i can say and homely food wihtout any trouble for the strained travellers stomach !.

From Nagapattinam after visiting Many temple we reached Kumbakonam all the temples were closed after midday Pooja. We decided to take rest in a hotel attatched with vegetarian restaurant and start darshan in the evening. Finally we landed in this Raya's hotel. The book about the temples near by Kubakonam is of immense help. The Non veg restaurant is attatched with the lodge but vegetarian Restaurant is available at the end of parking lot.

A cozy and family dining restaurant serving Multi cuisine specialized in Kebabs and grills. Specialized in outdoor catering. Situated with a spacious car park facilities. Surrounded with kids play zone and entertainments.
There are two entries for this one restaurant. We three brits looked up TA for a restaurant close to our hotel Nandha. Luckily we changed our minds and went to the unlisted Grand a few doors north. The perils of walking in the street. The next evening we definitely decided to try it. My friend was convinced he had seen the centre just north of the hotel so contradicting the TA map. We asked the security man and he pointed us north! We went, we found the centre and entered. Everything was closed. The security Nan confirmed the restaurant was upstairs but it was closed. I could not understand everything he said. Maybe closed at 6? It was 8pm. Confused we left and went south finding the Hotel Moujahir restaurant Vandana Grand. Good food so far! Using hotel's wifi.

We visited as a family Chidambaram.
Palagaram is a good place. The Ambience is good, clean. The north indian food was very tasty. The south indian orders were also good. Varied vegeterian only menu. The wait time at peak hour was only 7mins or so. The staff were courteous. The wait time was very less for the food. The restaurant is located right by the west gate of the Natarajar temple, so is very convenient.
We did not get to use the rest rooms. The water for washing was salty, apparently the whole of Chidambaram has this issue. Overall for Chidambaram's standard I would rate this hotel as a good choice. Very good value for money.

We got food home delivered. This place has a good location and ok ambience. Pizza is very poor taste but tastes more like bun with veggies and meat on top. Unless u think you are eating pizza it doesn't give taste . Excessive cheese. Chicken burger was a real relief it had very good taste but totally let down by a very bad fried rice. People dare to order only in desperate times as he does prompt service by home Delivery . My strong advice eat burger rest avoid.

One of the oldest and well renowned restaurants serving the most authentic Vegetarian food. Udupi Hotel is famous for its south indian style breakfast, lunch & dinner in the heart of the Temple City of Lord Nataraja in Chidambaram. With over 45 years in service, the name itself speaks for its quality.
1. Great food for breakfast/ lunch and dinner - Cheap and great quality.
2. It's a homely mess-like set up; so don't expect sophistication by any means.
3. Their dessert choices are great - Basundhi, Badam milk, Panam Kalkandu Paal - all freshly made and so so yummy!
