Set on two floors and in an idyllic palm tree and twinkly light filled courtyard, the Bakehouse has been a part of the local community for the past 15 years. New owners Kim Letchford and Gary Francis took over on the 14th February 2017. Kim started working here over 8 years ago, when she did her work experience for school. She went on to study catering at the local college for 3 years and worked at the Bakehouse for most of that time as a chef, taking time out to work abroad. Gary for the past 6 years has been the sous chef at The very well known gastro pub The Victoria Inn, in Perranuthnoe. They are both very enthusiastic and innovative creating new and exciting dishes for their guests. They look forward to welcoming you to their restaurant to enjoy good food in a friendly modern restaurant.
Found this place on a wet night on our way to the Scillies... it was empty and pretty dark.. but open and Wow what a treat... really friendly, made us welcome and relaxed. The food was really good from start to finish - and the house wine a real treat.. unbelievable... wish we had more time... It's a great spot and worth seeking out in its hidden alleyway...

Dated from outside, nice on inside
FOOD
They have a board of food but also an actual menu which can be missed if you're not given one or looking for it.
I had a cheese scone with red onion chutney and earl grey tea. It was very tasty.
My friends had the soup with garlic bread which smelt really good.
OVERALL
I'd definitely come back here again

We had heard on the grapevine that this venue was excellent and we weren’t disappointed! It’s great to find quintessentially English Pubs that are more that mere pubs with ‘pub food’. Check out their menus online. And go! The highlight of my Sunday Lunch was their pannacotta with ginger vanilla rose water and pistachio crumb! Brilliant.

The Kings Arms at Marazion is a small, friendly pub that serves great food every day of the week alongside a selection of real ales from St Austell Brewery. Our menu, created by enthusiastic head chef Andy and his team, features only the best ingredients from local Cornish sources with all meals freshly prepared for you to enjoy. We have a comfortable, intimate bar with a warming log fire for colder evenings. Our outside Seating area is a fantastic sun trap in the summer months and a very pleasant place to sit and chat with friends or enjoy a meal from our extensive menu. You will find the Kings Arms right in the heart of Marazion, just five minutes from the beach.
Very cosy atmosphere with an open fire bright and welcoming. A nice selection of food, large portions nicely cooked and reasonably priced. I thought that it was a nice touch on the specials menu it stated where your fish had been caught the name of the fisherman and his boat.

No disaster, but somehow not amazing or memorable in any particular way. No problems with the Cornish kitchen take on a fine dining/gastro type experience, just fell a bit short of theatre, both on the plate and off it. Thoroughly recommended, but not exquisite.

Food served throughout the day Eating at the Godolphin Arms is a relaxed and informal affair and we offer an all-day menu to be enjoyed whatever the occasion or mood. Our food philosophy is simple; we want to provide freshly cooked food that tastes delicious, is beautifully presented and showcases the quality and seasonality of local Cornish produce. From hearty Cornish breakfasts to relaxed lunches and intimate dinners, our menu is inspired by living and working by the sea and produce grown and farmed locally. Fresh daily bakes of the most delicious desserts and cakes are also offered up, to be enjoyed alongside the perfect cappuccino or latte. Where to eat? Lots of natural, light bathed and restful spaces - all with far-reaching views out over Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount. Sit in the glass and zinc extension, with doors that open out for al fresco dining during the summer months. Celebrate with family or friends around the intimate Captain's Table that seats 9. On the lower deck, walk straight in off the beach to the colourful and chilled-out beach bar and dining area. Outside, the beach Terrace remains a place to linger, absorb the astonishing views and simply watch the world go by.
Visited with 2 friends and we ordered soup's and drinks.
Quick service and I must say the staff were very friendly. Our soup arrived cold. Not just luke warm, actually cold. The supervisor was mortified and we quickly received two replacements.
Actually though - I was impressed. The soup was actually rather nice when it was hot and the place is lovely, clean and welcomes friendly well behaved owners and their dogs.

This is the sort of meal you'd expect to get at a high end restaurant, but without the price tag! We had fillet of Brill which was cooked to perfection.
The service is very friendly and efficient and i have no hesitation in recommended the Sail Loft.

Great selection of wines and really well presented. Wish we could of taken photos but we were just so hungry as we had waited all day for our fancy meal :-) . Delicious homemade bread, steak and puddings. Would defo go again and was perfect for our special meal.

The Fire Engine has gone through a tenancy change from February 2017. We will be serving traditional homemade pub food at very reasonable prices. We now have two bars- one upstairs for mainly eating, quizzes and for when we have live music. We also have the new Well Bar downstairs, which has a pool table, darts board, and sports on the Television. Our beer garden has been voted one of the top 15 beer Gardens in Cornwall.
We visited twice last week, once for dinner and once for the Sunday night quiz. Dinner was very well cooked and nicely presented. Shepherd's Pie very tasty and with genuine lamb mince. Mussels beautifully cooked and well presented, too. Reasonable selection of wines, very good beer.
The Sunday quiz was good fun, even though we weren't exactly locals. Good atmosphere and we were made to feel welcome. Lovely roaring fire in the bar.
