Manresa (Catalan pronunciation: [mənˈrɛzə]) is the capital of the Comarca of Bages, located in the geographic centre of Catalonia, Spain, and crossed by the river Cardener. It is an industrial area with textile, metallurgical, and glass industries. The houses of Manresa are arranged around the basilica of Santa Maria de la Seu. Saint Ignatius of Loyola stopped to pray in the town on his way back from Montserrat in 1522. He also read in solitude in a cave near the town for a year, which contributed to the formulation of his Spiritual Exercises. As such, the town is a place of pilgrimage for Catholics.

Kursaal Espai Gastronomic is a restaurant located close to the most important theater in Manresa (Kursaal theater) and sometimes they organize wine/caves taste with an excellent dinner! This day Jordi (the owner of the restaurant) organized a taste of oysters&cava. The cava was from Rimarts winery (a cava o Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, the most important cava town of Catalonia) and we tasted 4 different ones. All was excellent and for me, the better The Rosae cava with Pinot Noir. The oysters were from different parts of France and they were fantastic. In fact, from long time I have not tasted such good oysters! (and I have tasted oysters twice the last month).
Moreover, after the oysters we tasted two more dishes and a dessert: carpaccio of prawns, salmon al papillote and a cake with ice-cream. All was excellent as usual!
I recommend totally this restaurant and speak with the owner, he is a friendly and always he can recommend you a dish, a wine or any other thing.

Sibar is a well known restaurant in Manresa, located near Passeig Pere iii, in the center of the city. Meat is the especiality of the restaurant, but we decided to share some dishes like prawns carpaccio, tuna tataki, foie with asparagus, branded codfish and french frites with scrambled eggs, which were very good. Also we shared 3 ice-creams as dessert. Really, the food is the best of the restaurant.
Pitifully when we arrived there is a party in the restaurant and the staff was very busy, so waiters spent a lot of time to bring us the food, and they were wrong twice. I am sure, the next time the service will be better.

excExcellent restaurant and museum farmhouse where you can enjoy delicious eating good steak on the stone, stews and lifelong buenisimas (sometimes in the daily menu) fresh pasta, risotto with mountain one also served in the pan ... cast iron exquisite style snails ermitanet phew !!!
Inside you have privacy as there are several spaces and outside its impressive Terrace overlooking Montserrat.
Ahh! must try the gins of Josep Maria, I recommend the Wiliams ...!

Raviolo is a restaurant located in Manresa, a city in the center of Catalonia. It is a restaurant very-well decorated,where you can eat italian, catalan and mediterranean food. Here I came to taste the executive menu, which almost always is excellent and the rate quality/price is amazing. A top in Manresa!

Travelling on the "Transversal" motorway between Barcelona and Zaragoza we stopped at Manresa for lunch. We drove directly into the private parking of the restaurant thanks to a TripAdvisor reviewer :-). Arriving quite early, around 13:30 on Saturday, we got one of the very few remaining non-reserved tables in the patio.
The first waitress welcomed us in Catalan and Spanish and a few minutes later a charming waitress speaking English came. She helped us choosing a menu which we enjoyed very much in the charming room accessible from the parking. The seafoods were well prepared and tasty and we discovered a Mojito sorbet.
We recommend very much this restaurant and regret that it is so far from our home.

The Canonge is a restaurant located in the center of Manresa, near the commercial area of shops and theater. The food we offer is Mediterranean cuisine and proximity, made with fresh products. We have a workshop where we prepare their own delicious desserts and offer wines from DO Pla de Bages. Possibility of daily menu, weekend menu, a la carte dishes and some dishes sponsored by Nandu Jubany. The Canonge was created from Ampans Foundation. It is a project to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities; people who have been trained in catering services and cooking and carrying out their task with professionalism and enthusiasm.

The food is good (but could be better), good ingredients . The ambiance is perfect. Big rounded tables to spend a meal with small groups. Fast service. Delicious homemade desserts. Good region wines. We contibute to the project Ampans. We will repeat.
Weekend menú for 19,50 without wine but with water, bread, dessert and coffee.

A quiet place, never too crowded (which is fine for me). The week day menu includes everyday suggestions which makes it really interesting. If you like crepes you can have 3 in a menu! I recommend the RUSTIQUE one and the one with NUTELLA as for dessert. If you like a salads you can ask for the one with Cheese, it’s Awesome! Any suggestions including Rice are also Good! The Staff is really kind and the price is ok average (11.50€ for the full menu... you can have middle menu for 7.50€).

This was really impressive- great service, great wine, and great food in a laid back, elegant setting. Haute Catalan cuisine for sure.
I started with black pasta and seafood. The pasta was briny and perfect, the seafood was sweet and fresh. perfect. The main course of duck breast was equally impressive.
