I remember this place from when I was 10 years old. We went there often when I visited my grandparents. The place hasn't changed much since. The view is unbeateable, the creperie is located on a hilltop in a village called Vernegues. During summer you can eat on the terrasse and during winter you can eat inside, the interior looks like a medieval inn and that have a very nice fireplace. The place is usually called during winter so bring a fleece with you. The salads are good and the sweet crepes are really good. The salted crepes are okay compared to other creperies I go to. A very good experience overall.

My wife and I first discovered le Patio du Vallon in 1999 when we had just arrived jet lagged and hungry at a house we were renting just outside of Merindol and while walking through the very quite village we heard noise from a second floor Terrace, le Patio, and shared a marvelous pizza and a carafe of wine in a very pleasing setting. We return to Merindol in June and September each year, and our first dinner is always a pizza and a carafe at le Patio. Then, over the course of our two weeks stays, we will eat at le Patio at least 2 or three more times because the chef's talents extend well beyond pizzas. He also makes the best lasagna that we have ever eaten, actually two varieties, bolognaise which my wife prefers and "lasagna brouse", with eggplant, that I prefer,he makes a very good cannelloni, and he makes terrific Deserts. And the prices are reasonable to the extreme.

This caters for a captive audience at the Pont Royal resort and does a reasonable job. The menu was run of the mill and had a reasonable children's menu. The service was good as was the food and it's always a pleasure to dine alfresco. It's worth booking as it does get busy in high season and a lot of families were being turned away after 2030 hrs. It wasn't as expensive as expected: 2 courses and wine for 6 adults came to 150 Euros.

restaurant du club house du Golf de pont royal
On visiting the resort late in the season this was the only restaurant available to eat in. Overall the cost was extortionate considering the quality of the food, with no lower cost option available.
The furniture was very comfortable and the building itself has worn well - looks in mature but good condition.
For anyone eating at the resort this would surely be the last resort. We trvalled all around the area over the course of a week and found every other choice better than here.

We had an enjoyable lunch here with friends. The ambience is a,little quirky but nice. The garden was very full, so a good sign that the locals enjoyed it there. The menu is a set menu with salad for vegetarians. It was lovingly cooked and served by a very cheerful waitress. The most exciting thing about it is the cost which was very reasonable. They also serve afternoon tea and coffee. We shall definately return.

As noted the decor is not good but we sat outside with a good view of the Luberon "mountains" - OK the TGV does run close to the back of the restaurant and it can rumble a bit.
The food was good and the service was charming and we will definately go back!

"100% local, 100% homemade " Good : delicious fresh food always in season is the cornerstone of our efforts to maintain our culture and our identity Homemade : never frozen ! We are preoccupied with choosing the best quality ingredients which we transform into innovative and mouth-watering recipes in our kitchen. Our fruit and vegetables are grown in our own garden or bought from local suppliers know to us for the loving care they demonstrate in the growing process. Amazing Bastide like a house with a big big tree, perfect to have a lunch during summer, funky Terrace and green garden. Everything is stressless in Bastide du Grand Tilleul, - Apéro-fun every first Friday of month and DJ set - Artist home - Meet people - Drink a glass - Free wifi
The venue is great for a couple. Romantic, quiet but encouragingly busy.We went for an evening without the children. The food was good but not memorable. We didn't recognise anything on the wine list and as it was quite expensive we chose the cheapest on the menu and were not disappointed.

Staying in a private residence we had to pay €20 (adult ticket) just to get into the compound where the restaurant is and then they were only serving sandwiches not the full menu as it was "the wrong time of day" 2pm doesn't seem an unreasonable time for a late lunch but hey ho, I spoke my limited French to order and was told by the lady behind the bar that she didn't speak English, she then served everyone in the line behind me before coming back to me and then taking my order (again in my limited French) Sandwich was okay, nothing special. Restaurant is outdoors so you expect the odd fly but because they do not clean the scraps from the floor the place is full of flies. Drinks were served warm with a straw, not a glass and ice which would have been preferable in 40 degree heat. Would recommend that you take your own lunch at eat at the picnic area on the grass behind the restaurant. Very disappointed

The beautiful shady Terrace is an excellent location to relax for a delicious meal on a hot day. I had the salmon tartare with goats cheese and it was excellent. The ice-cream dessert is enormous with homemade apricot sauce.
The staff were lovely and very attentive and provided everything we could have asked for for the kids. There's a shady playground attached to the car park which is great for a run around after lunch.
Definitely be back!
