This restaurant serves many of the dishes typical of the cuisine of Mina's Gerais:feijao tropeiro, chicken with Qiabo, several farofas, etc etc. It is spacious, with outside Terrace and very reasonably priced. We had the Amostrado, which is a plate with a selection of the best dishes. Surely a place to go back to. Strongly recommended if you are interested in typical Brazilian cuisine.

Huge variety of regional NE food, from shrimp bobó, to different cuscuz, to sun dried beef, to sheep and goat; some options are for well initiated people (buchada, sarapatel), but the large majority of dishes will be appreciated by mostly everyone. The variety of vegetarian...MoreHello! We want to thank you for your visit! We appreciated it. <3 Be always welcome here in Bodega do Sertão. See you soon!

Service in this establishment is top notch.
The décor and atmosphere is wonderful and you can feel the 'fine dining' vibe they are going for.
Food was good and portion size was large.
Restrooms were clean and even had mouth wash available.
Pleasant music played throughout dinner.
Very reasonably priced.
Will go again.

This restaurant is now run by the second generation of its founders. Great italian food, the atmosphere is that of a true napolitan cantina: dark, loud and rustic. Pictures of costumers covers the stone walls. The pizza is by far the best one in Maceió, with its thin crust and really cheesy topping. You can both choose from the many options on the menu or make your own choice of ingredients for your very own pizza style. The Filet Del Poppolo is stuffed with mozzarella and ham and is delicious and huge (three people can eat and feel completely full) and the prices are reasonable. Weekend nights are REALLY busy, with an wait list and all, so get there early. Most dishes are big, and it's common to see many families with kids (there's no playground), so gather your hunger and your pacience and enjoy!

Not sure where the last reviewer ate but it couldn't have been at this restaurant. Beautiful ambiance, live music, eclectic clientele, and straight up authentic Italian cuisine.
Didn't have the pizza, but it's what they're known for and many tables around us seemed to be enjoying it. We had bruschetta, calzone, eggplant and penne. The food was outstanding.
Service was good, though you need to be animated to get the waiters attention. I find this to be the norm in the North East though. Only thing they could improve is to have a few fans installed as it can be quite hot with a full restaurant.
I will return and recommend.

I went to Basilico Ristorante for dinner and had a wonderful time. The evening began with a very fine caipirinha and continued with a very good meal. I had lasagne and my partner had the garlic shrimp. Both meals were delicious. The staff was attentive and we had great fun with them even though there was the language barrier. I would definitely return.

The restaurant staff was so helpful and tried very hard to make us comfortable even though we spoke little Portuguese. The menu was easy to follow. A self-service buffet option was also available. We chose to order from the menu and food was prepared fresh in the open kitchen. Salads were very fresh and well presented. Fish and shrimp were nicely cooked and not over-done.

The Caruaru restaurant is not yet well known in Maceió, but it is the place where we can eat the best grilled meats in the city. Believe me. I recommend the filet of lamb (manta), the prime rib and the delicious boneless chicken. In addition, the house allows its guests to bring their own bottle of wine (BYOB) - one of the few restaurants in Maceió that allow this. However, the great competitive advantage of the house is its excellent service and warm welcome offered to its guests by its owner, Mr. Nilsson, who is also known by the nickname of Caruaru. He is a gentleman and a great human being.
