Caruaru is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Pernambuco. The most populous city in the interior of the state, Caruaru is located in the microzone of Agreste and because of its cultural importance, it is nicknamed Capital do Agreste (Portuguese for the "capital city of the Agreste region"), Princesinha do Agreste ("Little Princess of Agreste"), and Capital do Forró ("the capital city of forró").

I've been to the Luiz Gonzaga museum in Exu itself, and I gotta tell you that this place is actually better than the museum at his original house! The collection is bigger, but of course he deserves even a bigger one! I've visited this place right on June's Party season, so we could see the huge stage and all the party environment outside. Really cool! Also, besides the Luiz Gonzaga you'll be able to see other Northeast artists and even the locals and amazing Mestre Vitalino and Mestre Galdino. Really worth visiting it!

Has lots of clay statues for sale. It is a street with shops on both sides of the street. A popular place for tourists to visit. It has a lot of art work created by many talented people. A good place to get out of the house and walk.

The place is very simple, but besides the simpleness comes all the majesty of Mestre Vitalino! Amazing artist who was born in the Brazilian back country. Even more special if you meet one of his sons. I took the guided tour, and I thought it was really worth it! Must go if you're in Caruaru! The neighborhood is also amazing.

Seguindo essas dicas, a visita é imperdível.

Se voce for a Recife, nao perca!
