Situated on the Dutch border, Limburg is the easternmost province in Flanders, and the foremost fruit-growing region in the country. The lively, friendly market town of Hasselt is the provincial capital. It boasts a car-free historic center, with building dating back as far as the 11th century. Genk is another recommended stop. The city of 63,000 people is home to a zoo, a planetarium, De Maten nature reserve and Bokrijk, an open-air museum of 19th century Flemish architecture.

In the magnificent Jekerdal valley, just on the Belgian border, is Chateau Neercanne. The beautiful Baroque Gardens of the 17th century castle are divided over four levels, all of them UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The highest Terrace offers a wonderful view over of the Gardens and the magnificent valley. Chateau Neercanne has a rich cultural and culinary tradition. Treat yourself to dinner at the a la carte Restaurant Chateau Neercanne. Our attractive marl-built function rooms are ideal locations for parties, receptions and meetings. The unique wine cellars in the marl caves form an unparalleled setting for a wine-tasting session or for enjoying an aperitif.
My husband and I had our 15 year anniversary at this restaurant. But first we were invited for a glass of champagne in the caves. The cave was very nicely decorated and there were little candles burning. At the restaurant we had this very nice...MoreBeste Yvonne C. We welcome you in our new restaurant. We are located next to Hotel Stiemerheide.
first visit. friendly welcome, professional staff, nice setting and view on the open kitchen. We had the 5 course menu, preceeded by 4 very good appetizers. We espacially appreciated the salmon, the coquilles and the dessert. Nice 'après desserts' with the coffee. Complete winelist. Will go back!

We visited this restaurant a few times before. The reason to revisit was the restyling of the restaurant. What a wonderful, stylish, contemporary ambiance! This definitely adds to the full experience. Our lunch was perfect: creative, exciting tastes and structures, well balanced, adequate portions, beautifully designed presentation. Service exceeded expectations: very friendly, professional, informative, well paced. From the moment you enter the reception area until you leave again, you are accompanied by great hosts. We would recommend La Source for special occasions where you want to feel very pampered. Perfect! In summer there is a large Terrace overlooking a lovely garden. Luxury overnight stays possible in hotel La Butte aux Bois.

A reunion with special friends. Each course floats on air, is fun, made us smile and tantalized taste buds. The wine is perfectly matched with the cuisine, while at the same time being tailored to individual choice. The atmosphere is discreet and private while attentive and personal. An incredible team creating a memorable, local food and wine experience. I hope to have the opportunity to visit again soon.

TRenowned for exceptional quality and outstanding service, Restaurant Château St. Gerlach’s à la carte menu is masterfully designed to delight both the eyes and palate. Occupying three of the Château’s traditional reception rooms, the restaurant’s visually impressive dishes are inspired by the opulent furnishings and elaborate wall and ceiling frescoes. Guided by French classics, Chef de Cuisine Guido Le Bron de Vexela and his team, use innovative techniques and modern influences to showcase the very best fresh, organic products derived from the estate Gardens and local countryside.
We came to this restaurant during our stay at this lovely hotel. Food and wines were all good, service was very friendly. It was a great evening for us and worth again a visit.

This realy is a good restaurant but I see no reason why it should have one michelin stars. It has two. These stars are raising expectations that just aren't met. The food deserves better wines, two stars and the same cheap Chilean Chardonnay from Santa Ines with two courses is not okay for me. Not for this price. Service is not what you would expect. Personnel on average too junoir and unexperienced. Restaurant is crowded and noisy. Summary: good kitchen, poor wines and value for money not okay.

the couple man wife are very nice and wellcoming. The menus are chosen by the chef , but excellent quality, of course small changes are possible, the restaurant is located at the pittoresque square and the restaurant is very well decorated and furnished. High quality

Once a year we go for lunch/dinner in a special place. Because of the reviews we choose 'de Kwizien'. We went for lunch and we choose the 5 course season-menu. One of our group does not like fruits and for dessert we had to choose for ice-cream with fruits or cheese (this was asked even before we had the first course!). The person could not get only the ice-cream (with chocolate or something else) and was forced to pick the cheese. We believe for this kind of restaurant this is really weird (the bill was €150 per person including wine).... The rest of the courses was nice but not really surprisingly. This was not a place or lunch we would recommend and we will not return.

As far as the food is concerned, you just can't go wrong here... every bite you take releases a taste explosion on your taste buds. For the food itself I would have rated this review with 6 stars if I could, unfortunately "attitude" gave me a bad aftertaste.
The lady who owns the place seems to think that part of her patrons are total idiots. For this occasion we had a Groupon package that included the meal and a night in a Junior SUITE (yes the voucher explicitly mentioned SUITE). However, when we arrived at the hotel in question (Van der Valk Heerlen), this turned out to be a so called Junior Room... which is smaller than their standard rooms.
Upon arrival I told the owner that I didn't appreciate that, especially since in the e-mails leading to the reservation there always had been a reference to a JR Suite. At first she tried to convince me that in fact a Junior Room is the same as a Junior Suite, since I have some experience with the hospitality industry I let her understand that I'm not the person who can be fooled by such baloney. Then her reaction was: oh well you get spend the night in a nice room with a rain shower, that's a good week-end anyway! That attitude is insulting and terribly arrogant, I would expect more from a Michelin rated restaurant owner.
Lady, take a lesson in humility... patrons pay your bills.

Giovanni Oosters is a topchef. He and his team are preparing exquisite plates with lot of vegetables. Every plate is too pretty to eat. Great taste and very fine wines. Service is outstanding. It will be a pleasure to come back to Vous le Vous.
If you can, ask for a table in front of the kitchen, so you can watch everything they do to prepare your food.
It was a great evening.
