Licata (Greek: Φιντίας; Latin: Phintias or Plintis; formerly also Alicata) is a city and comune located on the south coast of Sicily, at the mouth of the Salso River (the ancient Himera), about midway between Agrigento and Gela. It is a major seaport developed at the turn of the twentieth century, shipping sulphur, the refining of which has made Licata the largest European exporting centre, and asphalt, and at times shipping cheese.

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten. (And it is very reasonable if I compare some other Michelins I have eaten at in London: Le Gavroche, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Theo Randall). I have Italian family and have eaten in many establishments in Italy.
I had some sort of tasting menu:
Baccalà and porcini pizzette
Bufala and spremuta di pomodoro
Acciughe and pomodoro con pane
Polpo sulla roccia
Arancino con brodo di triglia
Maiale
Cannolo
... The service was also impeccable and very friendly.
The only drawback was that I didn't really like the pork. There was nothing wrong with it, the flavours were just too strong and I ordered badly.
The rest of the meal was incomparable and was maybe the best meal I've ever had. Well worth the trip from Agrigento (and maybe from London).

L'Oste e il Sacrestano e D.O.S. Di Origine Siciliana Peppe e Chiara vi guideranno in un viaggio fatto da profumi e sfumature della loro terra.
Tried this place on a Monday but all the tables (of which there are only 4/5h were booked. However managed to book a table for the next night. Felt welcome from the moment we arrived with very friendly waiting staff and a chef who we could see working hard in the kitchen but still had time to check on his customers. We did not have the tasting menu but instead tried a starter, main and dessert. All were absolutely delicious and felt very looked after throughout the evening. Only criticisms were the sound of mopeds zooming past and true to Italian fashion, they bring the food out when it's ready which can leave some people watching others eat and waiting for their food. However would highly recommend!

Off season, it is not easy to find a place to eat in Sicily. Particularly in Licata. After looking for a place at the port, which was closed, we looked for another place to have dinner. Fortunately, Sicilians are quite friendly and always very helpful. After inquiring in a café, the friendly owner gave me directions in Italian how to get to this restaurant as it is in a narrow cul-de-sac in the upper town. When we came there, we were the only customers. The staff was quite friendly. Soon after ordering our choices, people started to come and occupy tables. Dinner there was good and very affordable.

Giovanni, Teresa and Vania are very attentive to the choice of local products, rigorously outlawing any "star" from the menu. The fish is always fresh and cooked with the respect that only a family of marine traditions can recognize.the atmosphere is very family-whether you're at the pizzeria or tavern sea. The pizza a long leavening process guarantees lightness and crunchiness, while the red shrimp licata is best tasted raw or cooked with lemon to the fisherman
This is not a Michelin star restaurant, however you will be content after dinner. A very nice pizza, good salads - nothing to discuss. And: the sitting / the set is unique: on the beach! Phantastic!

A good restaurant in the heart of Licata and 500 meters from marina. Rustic enviroment and very kind staff. I was there for dinner and I can ensure that all the meal was of eccelent quality and coocked in the genuine sicilian way. Big range of sicilian and italian wines. Good value for money, not very expensive.

The aperitif is a milestone that may prove decisive, as capable of creating a special atmosphere. Coffee Literary Licata wants to convey a new way of experiencing apericena introducing a catering vein and bringing it to the sublime taste of fine cuisine, the pleasant tasting cocktails and wines from the best companies. Elegant refined, chic and modern, the lively and eclectic style
This bar is placed on the sea front of the port area of the city which in summer is a refreshing place to sit and sip something cool. The bar itself is lovely but the drinks offered are limited and the service wasn't great. Perhaps understaffed...it was difficult to catch the attention of waiters and when they finally came to the table they didn't know what drinks the bar offered exactly so went to check and never returned. If you don't mind slow service it's a lovely spot to visit.

We came without reservation to the then empty restaurant and were given a nice table on the Terrace. Soon after, the place filled. The starters were delicious. The main dishes very nicely prepared.
They serve local, Sicilian beer (delicious) and have a big wine list, however we did not check on that. Service was very nice and we had a lot of fun with my "Spatialiano" with the host.
