The restaurant is positioned in a beautiful setting overlooking the bay. Though the staff are lovely our evening was disappointing. The meal was rushed taking less than an hour and on that evening the food average. This may have been due to there being a large group also being served. Stark ceiling lights did little to help improve the atmosphere.

The Tavern Anatoli offers traditional dishes and specialties since 1995. It lies on the southern coast of Crete 2km east of the tranquil coastal village of Lentas near by the sea. The tavern offers everything from vegetables and meat specialties from the grill to always fresh, self-caught fish on the weekend of the big stone oven. About twice a month, the tavern, including beach, becomes a stage.
Beautiful and quiet location on the shore. They serve good simple food, well done, at good price. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Often you can eat fresh fish caught by Aris, the owner. Typical Greek cuisine. Truly enjoyable to stop after dinner for a drink: chatting with the staff or Aris himself is a pleasure.

We visited this restaurant for dinner last night and had the most wonderful menu served by very helpful staff. The recommendation of the shared appetizer was fabulous and we only needed one main course to share afterwards. The local white wine they recommended was also lovely. Thoroughly recommended.

The place is really nice and the girls that manage it very kind. It gives us a lot of suggestions including the visit of the thracula beach, very beautiful.

This restaurant is a great place, just on top of the cliff facing the beautifull Loutra bay it has a wonderfull view.
The suvlaky is perfect and Niko, the host with his mother, father and brothers are realy nice people.

We had a late lunch here one balmy Tuesday afternoon. The owner didn't give us a menu - she took us into the kitchen and showed us what was available and ready to be served. We chose a beef stefado and a traditional *macaroni cheese* (I can't recall the greek name).
What a pleasant experience to sit metres from the sea and enjoy a simple tasty meal.

Had a terrible experience tonite at this awful tavern, ordered tarama and been given a pink one, called the owner that certified her wife doing it fresh with 2 different fish eggs, pink like supermarket pink, ok. Ordered sardines, not fresh at all, bitter taste and super soft flesh, did not ate all to the cat... Fresh white beans " supposely " came cold inside as recently unfrozen ... No luck. asked to heat them, microwaved, came back all dry and boiling hot. I finally asked the owner to show me the tarama in the kitchen, wife cook did not seem comfortable and pulled out a large plastic container from metro cash and carry, i asked to see the saucepan with the beans as you cannot cook only one portion, no saucepan, said finished for today. Looks like you all being serverd wafull frozen or not fresh even canned food and all happy ? Good for you but this place is the most awfull place i have been in crete. He's a crook and a lier

Amazing panoramic view, good waffles and great cocktails.
I could sit there for hours and enjoy the calming sea Panorama.
The music selection is just perfect.
This café was one of the best I've visited on Crete. Definately the best in Lentas based on location and service level. One should pay attention on the interior design as it is thoroughly thought through. Tables made out of fish tanks - very classy indeed.

Never disappointed...in all those years since we come on a short holiday, here in Dytikos, 2-3 kms from Lentas ( or Lendas ), a very small village, far from the touristy places, in the most southern part of Europe. Even the locals come and eat here, or having a party...The menu is in English, and the menu of the day, too. It's open every day, without closing day. From 08.00 a.m. till....the last one leaves.
Vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, fresh, every day..
We love this place and the food in Taverna Odysseas would satisfy the Greek Gods, too.
The setting is marvelous, airy, flowers everywhere and the beautiful Libyan Sea.
A Greek tavern, like you see in the movies or documentaries, with a shadow of Greek music, just enough not to disturb you ...from admiring, tasting...whatever you'd like to do...
Very highly recommended !
