The colour purple got my attention, already from the outside and later during our lunch.
Crowded at noon. Fast, polite service. Almost no waiting time. Good quality food and plenty of it. If I also drank a bit? Yeah maybe: a kir to start with, then red wine, then white wine, then again white wine and to end with: red wine. Expensive? Don't know, I did not have to pay, we were a group of 34; but if you want to know: check their website.
La Fiesta is also famous for their dinner/dancing. Will I go back? Probably yes... for dancing !

After Reading tripadvisor comments we went without reservation to this restaurant. The kids ordered a mocktail which was fairly good. We ordered nachos and got really tastless guacamole ( no lime), a kind of horrible bean stew, a hump of melted cheese and some prefabricated salsa. As main dish i had taco with beef, chicken, rice and again that horrible beans. It all smelled unfresh, looked as it was eaten before and the the taco shells, reheated minimum 3 times came with some bugs. Lots of apologies and quickly replaced by FRESH taco's but my appetite was gone. I cannot understand this restaurant had a full house.

Visited this restaurant yesterday for lunch as part of a large group. We had Reservations but we had to change the time twice which was not a problem for the restaurant. The food was excellent - I had the falouche bread with seafood followed by creme caramel and they were both excellent. Others in our group had falouche with other toppings, beef and beer stew, hamburgers, steak, salads, etc and everyone was very happy and satisfied. The service was excellent and the waiter was very patient and pleasant. The atmosphere and decoration in the restaurant was very nice too. The best part for us was that even though it was Sunday and the restaurant only opens for lunch the staff did not put us or any other tables under any pressure to hurry up and leave. Will definitely be back if in the area and would have no problem recommending it to anyone.

Via Mercato was not our first choice, we came here because another place was closed. At first we didn't even recognize it as a restaurant - from the outside it looks more like an Italian traiteur (deli shop).
The restaurant is huge and not very refined : plastic tables, paper place mats and napkins, as in a factory canteen. The food (individually prepared in the open kitchen) is the same : huge portions, not bad but not very refined. Not very expensive either. Quick but impersonal service.
If you're going for a quick and filling meal, this is the place. If you like something more stylish, go somewhere else.

I'm tempted to rate this more highly but don't want to give other visitors unrealistic expectations. It's a "chips-with-everything" restaurant, but the cooking is sound and the chips good, and the service is friendly. There is a reasonably-priced plat du jour and a choice of other dishes. The place was full when we arrived, but the staff contrived to make room for us and looked after us well. Not a bad watering-hole if you are visiting the new Louvre, but it would be as well to get there early or reserve - other visitors have discovered it!

Lovely Terrace, look, cool indoors, nice couple plus assistant. He at the wine end, she at the food, the third in waitressing. It works. Vintage furniture, clean loos. The plates are slate boards, which give the place a relaxed tapas style, whithout the oil. Chiffon are of Janbon de Bayonne is truly heavenly thinly sliced. The salad is the right size. The boss is knowledgeable in wine and steered me toward a very nice Rhone Rose, without the big blousy alc levels. Quick service, it teems with business people and visitors to the Louvres's latest venture into teaching the nation about art: Louvre-Lens. It works and better than anyone else on the same pavement, all empty restaurants. Except this one. I fully recommend l'Etiquette, Bar a Vin, if you like your vino but want food too. All the best to them.

Had a disappointing Moroccan meal elsewhere recently so this was a pleasant change.
Lamb was very tender as was the chicken tagine.
Owner a very nice chap indeed.
Nice decor.
One suggestion to change, would have preferred non tinned olives in the dishes.
Otherwise a definite return.

Marc Meurin is a local lad (he was born in Lens) and he loves fine produce.

The two Michelin stars is always bursting with projects and ideas, and when he heard the Louvre was opening in Lens, it just seemed obvious to take the reins of the restaurant at the Louvre-Lens, L’Atelier de Marc Meurin. The restaurant is housed in a transparent bubble placed in the middle of the grounds. With daily specials, its inventive cuisine and its menus guarantee quality and freshness from starter to dessert, « L’Atelier de Marc Meurin » offers a fine selection of wines, local and seasonal products.

As Marc Meurin himself observes, "there are so many good things around here, why bother going and getting them thousands of miles away?”. The chef's cuisine is daring, indulgent, and affordable, with a set menu including starter, main dish, and dessert costing about €32.
We visited the restaurant for dinner on a Friday evening whilst staying in nearby Fresnoy en Gohelle.
As has been previously mentioned, the restaurant isn't easy to find as its a little off the beaten track but definitely worth seeking out. Its located in the grounds of the Louvre- Lens museum and is decorated in a very modern style (lots of white and plenty of glass) but does look very attractive.
The food was good - between the four of us we enjoyed the St Pierre & Dorade fish dishes, beef entrecôte & lamb. All the food was beautifully cooked and very well presented. The cost of the meal, with four desserts and a bottle of Santenay, came to 210 euros for four (inc service).
The service was very good, friendly and helpful and although our waitress couldn't speak great english it was still far better than our french !
Enjoyable evening and we would be happy to eat here again.

Our last dinner and thanks to Trip Advisor we selected this restaurant. We could not have done better. Truly exceptional regional food. So tasty every dish just so different from the fare sampled elsewhere. A real treat and modest prices. A selection of menus to chose from and you can select 2 or 3 courses. Wonderful interior design. The exterior gives no hint of the interior spaciousness. Highly recommended. Very very attentive service.
