Lelystad (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈleːlistɑt] ( listen)) is a municipality and a city in the centre of the Netherlands, and it is the capital of the province of Flevoland. The city, built on reclaimed land, was founded in 1967 and was named after Cornelis Lely, who engineered the Afsluitdijk, making the reclamation possible. Lelystad is approximately 3 metres (9.8 feet) below sea level.

Just a small place with great taste! We offer local cuisine, season food and a lot of passion for food and wine
Small is beautiful, is definitely true for this restaurant. It barely seats 40 but the menu is fantastic. Great care for detail: plates look like a marvel and they taste delicious. What about venison with portwine-soaked onions and viper's grass. Or try the scallops (starter) as an example. A photo contest winner!
Wine choices are somewhat limited and quite pricey, but there's an adequate range of wines by the glass at an affordable price. Also, they serve an outstanding selection of cheeses for dessert - absolutely recommended.

During a Sail weekend with friends we dined in this restaurant. Is has a view over the yachts and a ouside Terrace. The restaurant it isn't looking not attrative from teh outside but inside it has a relaxed atmosphere and a very friendly staff.
We decided to order set menus, several option salad, main dishes ¼ wine an coffee, pricing starting at 22,50
I ordered a chicken salad which was tasteful and well-seasoned , a good prepared tender steak topped mushrooms including a simple house wine and coffee.
I like the fact that plain water is served without cost. (bravo!!)
The food is all fresh and well prepared, menu price 27,50. So it adds up to a well-deserved excellent price/value level .
Restaurant was fully booked on a Saturday no need to ask why, reservation required!
Conclusion:
Good fresh prepared food for a very descent price in a relaxed atmosphere.
Prijs/Value: Excellent
Would we return: YES

Great Cooking, Good Atmosphere. High Standard Of Service. Winner Of The Dutch Award "best Theatre Restaurant".
This is one of our favorite restaurants. Top quality food, beautifully cooked and presented.
(I had a dish dressed with flowers!) Some "amuses" between courses which were nice.
You can say what you like or dislike and they'll cook up something amazing if you go for the surprise menu.
If you prefer to stick to the menu try the carpaccio, its the best I've ever had.
Staff is friendly and polite, it is the best restaurant in Lelystad.

International restaurant with typical food and flavours from all around the world. Different kind of meat, spicy curry, delicious fish
This restaurant is run by a very charming couple witha passion for good food. The menu changes regularly and everything is made from scratch using fresh ingredients. The dishes are like a journey around the world, expertly prepared, Monica and Winstan take great pride in making the dishes as authentic as possible.
I ordered the Bacalao Crocquettes and the black angus burger. The croquettes are great and taste just like they would in Lisboa.
The black angus has a special twist, the bun is black, dyed by natural squid ink.
This restaurant is worth the trip if you are around Lelystad or Almere.

Visited with the family. Ordered meatballs, beef stew, cheese burger and a mixed meat dish. Relative small dish (maybe we came too hungry) but the food was very tasty. Price fair. It took some time until the Main course arrived but the view and airplanes show were interesting so the kids were relaxed.

I had a dinner at Restaurant Sorrento with a friend. It was during the week and around half of the available tables were occupied. After ordering it took quite some time before we got our dinner served. The food is average. I was not impressed with the service staff. The wine is quite expensive and very few wines to choose from. The Pinot Grigio tasted to sweet for me. I was expecting the lemon-citrus flavors.
The restaurant looks pretty good. The tables are nicely covered with table linen and napkins. And in good weather you can sit outside on the Terrace.

We called ahead for a reservation and explained some dietary needs and we were assured that all would be fine. Atmosphere wise and food quality were superb! It was the fine details that were lacking. We explained several times I am on an extreme low carb diet, carrots or any other vegetables with carbs are a no. What did they bring? A platter of carrots and zucchini and my salad was smothered in a sugary balsamic vinegar. I'm not trying to be nit picky, but at their prices serving us grocery store tea was sort of a slap in the face. At least they remembered my husband cannot have dairy! The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was cute but if you do have any special requests, skip this place as they just don't get it.

We were with the four of us. We told the restaurant we were going to the theater after dinner. We had two hours planned for dinner but after one and half hour we were still waiting for our main course. We told the waiter we were concerned , but that didn't help much... We did make it in time but it was only just.

The atmosphere here is fantastic; as is the food. We ate here twice this week and both meals were outstanding. The soles are as thick as steaks and extraordinarily tasty. All the food we had was fantastic. We were welcomed by the members and staff as if we had been members ourselves. This was a world class experience! And you do not here me say that often!

We bumped into this place one evening when we were looking for a quick bite and as everything else was closed, we were happy with their offering. We asked them to 'chuck something together' for us and so they did. It was good, creative and brought with a smile.
