The location at the sluice is fantastic. The food is ok, but ordinary compared to some of the other restaurants in Leidschendam. A big plus is the opening hours and the feeling of liveliness all day.

Popped in for a drink on a cycle ride around the area. Lovely spot on the edge of the lake. Reasonably priced cocktails, Limoncello Spritzer €5.50.

Would not have guessed that the quality of the food would be this good. The staff, the service, the food, the wine - it all fell into place. Had a great night out with a close friend and she could not have picked a better place. Will most certainly return.

Chef Han merges the Oriental and French kitchens with one another.
it's a surprise that there is chinese-french combined cuisine restaurant in den haag. the entrance and the decoration are interesting, guests' coat are collected after entry.
appetizer on the house is a little surprise, different small snack and source on wooden spoons and plates, very interesting for welcome.
5 courses are well prepared and well served, the cooking technique and the presentation of plates are excellent, i can feel the cook devote his skill and creation in those dishes. chinese steamed bun in stead of bread and butter is amazing specialty.
the wine "book" is interesting, recommended wine matching the course are fresh but young.
not much surprise in courses or wine, but it fits the michelin 1 star title, recommend to go when you are in town.

Calla's is named after the flower 'Calla', the Greek word for beautiful. With its serene loveliness and unassuming character, the Calla is the perfect emblem for the restaurant. The flower's serene beauty also inspired the interior design. Against a background of white, ivory and cream, only the carpeting is a shade of orange coral. Materials used include linen and organza, slate, wood, chrome and glass.FG Stijl of Amsterdam did the interior design. Calla's is housed in what used to be a 19th-century commercial building somewhat reminiscent of a coach- house. On the ground floor is the chef's table, that affords a good view of the kitchen. A long brown table surrounded by high chairs, it accommodates up to eight guests for full meals or alternatively simply an aperitif. On the first floor is the restaurant in which one wall is lined with mirrors. Contact with the ground floor is created by recesses in the large square balustrade surrounding the stairs. Here too, much attention has been paid to detail: the bottles of mineral water are kept in a specially designed plexiglass cooler containing crushed ice.The result is an unassuming, chic interior with white and organic colour accents.
We had dinner here sitting at the chef's table which was a great experience as we could see all the work that went into preparing our meal. Each course was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was professional and discrete, allowing us to talk between courses and not rushing us. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening, especially the company. I would go back in a heartbeat.

The food is good and the service is also good. It's a bit overpriced, but the quality pays off.
However, the waiting time it's just ridiculous. It takes around 2+ hours from the moment you seat until you leave. And it's not because the service is slow, but because the kitchen is also doing food for takeaway. I don't think it's justified.
And it's a pity, because the food is quite good.

Went on a recommendation by hotel reception and had the Surprise menu option, 3 courses, all GF and all were not disappointed by any of the food creations. Friendly and knowledgable service throughout this surprise GF meal, all course contents were explained to us when we received them and they were absolutely delicious. Even the GF bread was excellent. Not the cheapest but worth every Euro.

The name 'Gina' stands for Italian passion and classical beauty, either the Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida. The victory at the Miss Italy elections of 1947 was the beginning of her career. Major fame was given her roles in many film classics. Named after this Italian beauty, Gina is the restaurant that goes on a place where the Pasta Company began 10 years ago. With strong points like the right ratio of service, price and quality, but then renewed, comprehensive, sophisticated and now even more delicious! A classic look, but a contemporary concept. At Gina you can enjoy all that Italy has to offer. A delicious breakfast of Italian coffee, richly invested ciabatas and focaccia during lunch. A sparkling Prosecco during the drink or before dinner, where the famous pizza and pasta classics, besides traditional fish and meat dishes, are not lacking. In addition to the menu, we also offer the regularly changing 3-course menu for only € 19.50. These are the loose cards you find on your table. On the one hand the menu and on the other hand, the course 'Italian for beginners'. With each time a number of common nice terms and statements translated for you to Italian. Always convenient if you ever go to Italy on vacation. In short, Gina is the place where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and lounge with friends, family and knowledge, 7 days a week, from early morning to late in an atmosphere in which everyone is Feeling at home ... passion from Italy!
Good lunch sandwiches and pizze, friendly and fast service, nice view towards the little lake and park across Leidsenhage shopping center.

Whilst having heard about this restaurant before we had never made it to a visit. Our first experience was quite nice. One wouldn't expect a top restaurant at this location but after entering the perception quickly changes: a friendly welcome and an elegant interior. Courses were accompanied by amuses and a pre-dessert which was a nice surprise. Not cheap for fine dining but we had the advantage of a special offer .
