One of my clients (and friends) had me and my wife at Samart's for a dinner. The restaurant is a charming building in the middle of Calabria's countryside. Very nice and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The real strong point of this restaurant is food. Their "filetto" and other types of meat are just fantastic. Go to Samart's if you like meat of (almost) any kind. You will not be disappointed.

We found this little gem in the middle of the Calabrian Mountains completely by chance - we were looking for a place to sleep before continuing our trip the next day. As luck would have it, we got there just in time for dinner, too.
Oh my God, the hospitality..! Then the food (and LOTS of it)! The people, the place, the rooms, the restaurant, everything was absolute perfection.
We ended up staying for lunch the next day as well, and every time we return to Calabria (we try to once a year), we have got to go to E Turre and stay at least a couple of nights.
Marco and his family are gentle, generous, extremely friendly, and my can they cook.
Also surrounding you are beautiful animals and nature which soothes the soul.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

My wife and I stayed in Lamezia while visiting family. We arrived at Il Quadrifoglio early before they were open but Luciano let us in to be able to sit down. The atmosphere of Il Quadrifolglio could place it anywhere in Europe. It's very pleasant with outside and inside Seating. The service was very good. The only thing that bothered us were the televisions in every room. However, that seems to be the case in most restaurants in Italy. They are always watching soccer.
The food was excellent. We were not very hungry but decided to try the Calabrian Antipasto which was excellent. A good variety of local meats, cheeses and prepared items like eggplant, mushrooms, etc. One order is more than enough for two. My wife and I both had pastas. She had spaghetti with 'nudja and I had strozzapreti with 'nduja and swordfish. Luciano questioned whether we really wanted the 'nduja since it's really spicy. I grew up in an Calabrese-American family so I was familiar with 'nduja and it turned out to be a good choice because both pasta dishes were excelent.
We had the vino di casa which in in Italy is usually better than most wines you get in the USA. This was no exception and the wine went fine with our dinner.
My wife was not feeling 100% and couldn't finish her pasta. What she had was very good but just a bit too much. Of course, Luciano thought she didn't like it and was prepared to make something else for her. We convinced him that wasn't the case.
Although we didn't have a lot to eat, what we had was excellent. I'd recommend Il Quadrifoglio to anyone who happens to be in Lamezia Terme.

Tucked away in a back street of Lemezia, Alla Pentolaccia did not initially seem particularly appealing, but its reviews led us there. However, from the moment we arrived we were embraced (not literally) by a family of people whose sole purpose seemed to be to...Morethank you ;)

The Restaurant Pizzeria "Da Pasquale" has the better of Calabrian cuisine, in addition to the more traditional italian dishes. It is surrounded by greenery with a breathtaking view. Genuine and hearty appetizers; a taste of italian pasta and delicious meat mean course. A few plates are not always available, and sometimes it is necessary to book early, as the cod, to ensure the highest quality, according to our tradition.
Pizzas made with traditional wood oven, with quality ingredients.

Come and visit us, and let us know how your experience was on TripAdvisor.
It was a mini adventure to reach, but it was well worth the trip. Angelo greeted us at the door and shared his crops, acreage, and beautiful view with us, Each course of our meal was a gastronomic treat. Most of the food was home grown or locally produced. The pizza was the best ever and there was plenty left to take with us. Make it a point to visit if you are in the area. Angelo and his brother were very attentive and provided excellent service. The wine was even home made!
