La Línea de la Concepción (Spanish pronunciation: [la ˈlinea ðe la konθepˈθjon], more often referred to as La Línea) is a town in Spain, in the province of Cádiz in Andalucia. It lies on the eastern isthmus of the Bay of Gibraltar, north of the Gibraltar–Spain border, which lies north of the British overseas territory of Gibraltar, with which it has close economic and social links. It is situated on the sandy isthmus which unites the Rock of Gibraltar with the coast in the eastern flank of the Bay of Gibraltar, between Sierra Carbonera and the Rock of Gibraltar.

Found this little gem on Google maps when we were looking for a place to eat some tapas. We went there bang on 8pm and I'm so glad we did as it was already almost full. We got the last table! Service was fast and lovely. We tried our luck with the Spanish menu but they have an English version that you can easily use if you're not a Spanish speaker. The staff speaks English so no worries if you can't say more than the basic stuff. We had a few tapas each and they were brought in really fast and they were so so so good! We also had the dessert of the day, carrot cake, and that was quite lovely too! Not what we were expecting but super yummy. Prices were as expected. Would recommend to anyone.

This restaurant has excellent fish and great service. The rations are very generous. For fish at a reasonable price it's in my opinion the best there is. On the downside the setting is canteen like and can get very noisy when full which is most of the time. My suggestion is to go early and beat the crowd

I've been to El Rincon De Juan several times during my six months working in Gibraltar, and this is for sure the best place for tapas in La Linea de la Conception. Sure not the cheapest you can find, but the cost is still accessible to anyone and the food absolutely the finest. Pay a visit to this place if you find yourself in town!

My uncle is from La Linea and he will confirm this is a great local spot with quick service to get you the some of the best seafood in town. Try the chocos - they are known to be the best at Bar Salas. The wait is never that long and while you are standing outside have the bartender pass you a glass of wine or beer through the window. Time will fly.

This is a small, local restaurant with stunning innovative cuisine. I don't know how the inspired young chef achieves this standard but she should be reaching out to a wider audience. Try the 'fake' tomato with foie gras, or the 'cigar' served in an ashtray, or the 'charcoal' coated cod or a tapas size portion of suckling pig but don't be fooled by the gimmickry - this is someone who can really cook. I can't speak for the desserts as we never get that far after over ordering from the tempting tapas menu.
Situated in a street near the bullring in La Linea, parking can occasionally be tricky but a taxi is always a possibility. I think the interior could benefit from losing the yellow walls and the rather naff signs for the loo. Having said that, those are just very minor niggles. If you like to try new, delicious, different food with very good service then book yourself in here ASAP.

Stopped for breakfast cheese toastie and croissant with coffee. The only downside was having to wait 15mins to be served or maybe its because im English and impatient.

Fantastic authentic Spanish food. We ordered a large selection of tapas. Everything was mouth watering. Food arrived very fast, and was really really great. Wonderful menu, wonderful staff, inexpensive. Hope to return. Arrive early, this place fills up very very fast. Hope to return. Worth crossing the frontier just for this.

In the middle of the town just around the corner from the busiest place in La Linea (Calle Real). Food is good quality, service is good. Price reasonable. I have visited this place many time, with friends and no complains.

This place is so different from all the rest of tapas bars around, they have a different menu, not the typical dishes you find everywhere else. They offer gourmet meals and whenever I go for tapas Bodebar is most of the time on top of...MoreHi Stephano D. that's a really nice comment of our restaurant. Better than average but wouldn't class as very good when I visited. Waitress didn't speak much English but she was nice & they had menus in English. A good range of options on the menu but beer options limited (not sure about wine options). The service was fairly prompt & the quality of our meals was good. Quite a few Spanish customers in the restaurant which is always a good sign.
