L'Ampolla is a municipality in the comarca of the Baix Ebre in Catalonia, Spain. It was created in 1990 by the division of the municipality of el Perelló. It is situated on the coast south of l'Ametlla de Mar, and is an important tourist centre and minor fishing port. The town is served by the A-7 autopista, the N-340 coast road and by a station on the RENFE railway line between Tarragona and Valencia.

Located close to downtown, by the fish boats marina, the place is not large, with a few tables inside and few more outside. If the weather permits, don't think twice and seat outside to enjoy the nice view of the small sea-front village, the small harbor and the fishing and leisure boats.
The food - primarily sea food - is delicious, from the starters thru the desserts. Whatever your main will be, please don't afford to miss the "capaccio de bacalau" - cod carpaccio, Order from the not so large, but eclectic menu, and you surely won't be disappointed. Nice selection of Spanish wines, of course at very friendly prices. I had a bottle of the house white, that was delicious, for just Euro 8. Service is prompt, very warm and friendly to a point that the plates'details like sauce or sides can be changed, adapted to your preference at no worries. I really recommend! For the whole party - starter, main, dessert and bottle of wine - US$ 44.

We loved this restaurant and went there twice during our weekend-long stay. The food was delicious - one night we had fish (lenguado: sole) and the other night, pizza. All the desserts are home-made. We recommend the "crema catalana", the "flan" (crème caramel) and the chocolate brownie. The service is excellent - Manel was very attentive, friendly and flexible. He and the chef reacted very positively to my partner's gluten intolerance. We feel that some of the other reviews are somewhat unjustified - the pizzas are not Italian; they are high quality Spanish pizzas with plenty of topping on them, and the fish is not automatically accompanied by a separate side dish of salad, potatoes or other vegetables, as that is the way that fish is usually served in Spain/Catalonia. You can order vegetables or chips if you wish. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Highly recommended.

We ate here last Monday as family arrived to stay with us. So we drove to L'Ampolla and decided to go to El Pescador and we are so pleased we did. The restaurant wasn't busy, it being a Monday evening. However, the service was excellent and the food amazing. I had tuna as a main and it was well cooked and very tasty indeed. I will be going back and it on my list of favourite local restaurants now.

This restaurant is a gem, local and Authentic Delta recipes including eel and arros nero, all very nicely cooked and with fresh ingredients. The place is a rustic wooden cabin 30 second walk to the beach.
The Ostras Aperitif which is a €6 deal of 3 Delta oysters and a glass of refreshing local Cava is a must, its available all day, but the restaurant closes at 7-8 and only does dinner for a few weeks during high season.
Its not a cheap restaurant and the portions aren't huge. But the quality makes up for it!

Our establishment is a restaurant-pizzeria where you can find a highly varied choice of dishes. Our pizzas are done in the Italian-style and cooked in the wood fire hoven, we also work a lot fishes and meats... Our products are first choices, in local preference and we develop our dishes carefully with passion for our job. Our restaurant stays without big claims, we like the warm welcome and the simplicity. We work for more than ten years with a very crossed, very European clientele among which many of them became friends today. We shall be very happy to receive you in your next visit in Ampolla (Terres de l'Ebre).
Came here last Wednesday for dinner with friends and we caught the local choir practice. After a superb steak dinner, we listened to the choir and guitars and the whole event was magical. Local culture, no frills, but the real thing. Such a great place for a pizza, the best around in my opinion, or a full blown meal. Perfect!

Having read so many excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, I was looking forward to this experience. However, we were enormously disappointed by the service. We were polite and courteous (and both speak fluent Spanish) however the service was terrible, above all by the younger waiter. He was laughing and joking with people from all the other tables but was cold and curt with us.

Decided to go to this restaurant after checking Tripadvisor and it was a wise decision. It's in a great location next to the harbour, we had a table by the window. Plenty of room for the three of us. The staff were very efficient, polite, helpful and utterly charming. The food was superb, I had garlic prawns to start, steak to follow and this just melted on the mouth and panacotta to follow. All beautifully presented, and mouth-wateringly delicious. Having recently moved to the area, this is currently my favourite restaurant and will be coming back many times.

Mediterranean Restaurant specialized in fish paella and seafood. Slow food. Most of our ingredients come from near places so we do believe in the sustaintability of our environment, and we respect the way our parents cooked trying to fusion old way to cook with modern cuisine techniques.
We really enjoyed our visit to La Barraca. The food was wonderful: fresh, tasty and beautifully prepared. The location is superb. The views are incredible. My one wish is that they had one vegetarian meal (without fish) that I could have eaten as I'm sure it would be delicious.

Overlooking Cap Roig beach this is the perfect beach place: Great view of the beach, great view of the scenery and good food at reasonable prices. All food was excellent but the fried small squids were outstanding. Parking is a problem since others discovered this beach and restaurant too!
