Been here twice by boat and expect to return. Friendly, if chaotic service (don't expect always to get what you ordered, nor in a convenient order!).. but worth this for good food ( VG papaya salad and mussaman curry). Toilet is basic and unisex but not dirty (bring your own loo paper). Lovely wooden platform overlooking bay, but steps are steep enough to be difficult if you have any mobility challenges. 2 dishes plus beer for two people cost around £10. Great spot to watch the sun go down. Be prepared for mosquitos.

It can be challenging to find an English speaker in Trang if you are a tourist there so this cafe is the place to be! Friendly atmosphere and delicious/creative food where you can mingle with the locals and travelers alike. Ask for Dear, the chatty lady, she's a unique source of energy ;)

Welcome to our Hilltop Restaurant. We serve Thai, European, vegetarian, organic vegetable and also vegan food. We are open from 9 am to 10 pm all year. We use local products for our food. We hope to see you! :)
If you go to Koh Muk you have to try to eat at Hill Top.
Here the food is fantastic, the portions big and cheap and the service outstanding.
You can sit out or in.
The restaurant is family run and both sons and daughters helps serving while mom makes the food.
I have had both breakfast and dinner and every time I have enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Fantastic!

They have made an effort here to make you feel like you are in a quiet serene place. Sitting between tall trees, water fools and fish pools you could be in the jungle. The food is good and the manager speaks English as is happy to help. A little out of town but worth the ride for lunch or dinner.

We were in Trang for half a day transiting to Lipe Island in Satun Province the next morning. We did not carry out any prior research on this city and hired a local Tuk Tuk to take us around for a city tour. The driver recommended this place and we were in for a very pleasant surprise. The place is tastefully decorated and the food are delicious! Too bad we missed the morning Dim Sum service, so we ordered some recommended dishes i.e. "Hoi Jor" (Deep fried Crabmeat Roll) which was mouth watering.... We ordered a couple more dishes with rice as a quick lunch option. The Stir Fried squid with pickled egg on rice was also good! We will make proper planning before we visit this nice little town again sometime ; )

Dim Sum , coffee , Roast pork or moo yang Trang
Firstly, this review was about the dinner, not about breakfast as we did not try the breakfast. The indoor setting was good. Next, many items were not available or only available during breakfast. We ordered a few char kueh, bah kut teh, shrimp rolls, and a few dishes. The restaurant did not served beer, so we ordered Chinese tea. Finally, the comment. Though it was not expensive, food was very average to poo. A bad dinner experience in Trang.

Thailand's version of dim sum is a bit different compared to the Malaysian version or even HK's .. the serving size is a bit small. However, the variety is plenty to satisfy the taste buds. Throw in Trang's famous roast pork, char-koay and porride, it is enough to fill up the bio-fuel cell in one self.
The owner speaks decent English and is extremely friendly. However, parking could be a tad problem during peak hours in the morning
'Damage' is pretty affordable

Amazing lovely genuine people and great Thai, European food plus cool t shirt shop. FarmVille has a lovely big garden decorated with fairy lights in the trees. There was 6 adults and 4 kids and we had some amazing meals here. The seafood in yellow curry powder was excellent. The prawns were so fresh. We loved the quesadilla and spring rolls for starters. Chicken chilli and basil very flavoursome. Great fresh juices for kids. You must try the coffee and coconut ice creams. The owner gave us a lift home as one of the kids had fallen asleep. So nice to meet some lovely caring Thai people. Also they play ambient music. We miss you FarmVille.

We just happened upon this bar/restaurant located on the one way park roundabout near to the Big shopping mall in Trang City. Very busy with locals on a Monday night, lovely ambiance, tasteful Thai band playing various Western/Thai numbers. Food menu based locally, but western dishes also available. The food was quick and delicious, the cocktails appealing and tasteful, staff pleasant and in abundance. The setting was beautiful, coconut trees at the entrance, open air with central water feature, tasteful lights outside, all in all a very enjoyable experience and very much recommended.
