For over forty years we have only bought the highest quality ingredients and produce from people we know and trust. We buy as much as we can from local farmers and small artisan producers. All our meat is raised and grazed in Cheshire, from certified farms and hung for a minimum of 21 days. We also grow our own organic garlic and herbs on site for use exclusively in our kitchens.
We had a taster set menu with wine and everyone said the meal was amazing and faultless. The ambience and Harding Watt interior decor remain stunning and probably one of the most classic surroundings you could find in and around northern U.K. It is a shame the venue is booked out months in advance for weddings. If fortunate to find he odd night where the restaurant is open suggest you grab the opportunity After 27 years married it might be tempting to marry again for the experience. Only drawback is the service was good but not first class with the exception of our wonderful and glamorous host.

Recently awarded Cheshire Lifes dining pub of the year The Bells of Peover is a beautilful, Grade 1 listed dining pub that has been under new ownership since September 2009. Food offerings range from homemade bar snacks to full a la carte menu. Our food is British and we offer daily specials highlighting the best seasonal, local produce available.
We went last Sunday for a belated Mother’s Day meal. Three generations, three granddaughters. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal. My husband and I have been several times with friends, but always in the evening, this was our first visit at lunchtime. The staff were friendly, efficient and the service very good. The food was very tasty with generous portions. There was a good choice both on the main and children’s menus. A lovely treat.

Knutsford may be steeped in history, but Gusto is already somewhat of an institution - renown for its authentic Italian cuisine and lively cocktail bar. In a town famed for its restaurants and select social scene, Gusto has a dedicated discerning clientele.

Dun Cow is a family run destination pub with dining, just outside of Knutsford centre in Ollerton. There is a large selection of dishes from pub favourites, sandwiches, chargrill section, a la carte options, and fresh seafood, all delivered and prepared daily. We have a beer garden at the rear, parking and a playing field should your children want to run around. We can cater for functions, express business lunches, quiet meals for two, family dinner, pit stop breaks on the A537, girls nights, meze by request, and of course, cask ales and coffees. We look forward to seeing you soon.
After a lovely day at Tatton Park today with my wife and family we decided to go for something to eat and thought we would try the Dun Cow in Knutsford . I ordered a pint of bitter for myself, a pint of San Miguel and lime juice for my wife and a soft drink for each of the three kids alongside a main course each. The bill came to around £75. On looking at the bill receipt II noticed we had been charged 50p for the splash of lime juice in the pint of San Miguel. On paying the bill I questioned why I had been charged for the lime juice as it was added in the glass along with the beer. In essence I had been charged for a FULL pint and the lime juice. But obviously I hadn't had a full pint because the shortened measure was made up to the pint with the lime juice. How can I be charged for both? The price its either a reduced measure of beer and lime or a full pint. I explained this to the manager but he did not seem to understand my query and replied with because ''thats just what we do". At that point I told him that it was illegal to charge for the lime as I did not have a full pint of lager. at this point he reluctantly took it off the bill. This is obviously a rip off policy what this pub does all the time , being a Robinsons pub is this their policy also . I will be contacting them to ask them .Thats why we have weights and measures!! We visited for lunch/brunch around 1245 on 25/02. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. The food and drink were excellent quality and very reasonable priced. Service was quick and efficient - even though busy. Spotlessly clean and lovely atmosphere. We were particularly impressed with the extensive selection of gluten free options on the menu.
Would absolutely recommend for a lovely breakfast/lunch/brunch in Knutsford!

Giovannis' Knutsford Bar & Restaurant is inspired by the Italian heritage of Knutsford and provides a sophisticated homage to Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.Knutsford itself is a town steeped in Italian culture and architecture, which Giovanni's represents with its elegant cooking and refined interior style. The restaurant is on King Street and is housed in the grade II listed building known as the Old Post Office. Renowned Victorian architect Richard Harding Watt helped to define the town’s architecture by importing an Italianate style, which is especially evident on the memorial tower that overlooks King Street.
We have not dined here for a couple of years but for a birthday celebration decided to return. Unfortunately, in spite of a bit of a refurb and a new menu, it was OK. OK is not good enough to charge these elevated prices.
Service was mixed ; some very pleasant, some very slow. Hard to attract attention. No-one apart from the young gentleman was polite enough to step aside when trying to wind through tight tables to toilet. Asked for Sauvignon Blanc and got a Pinot Grigio. In first request for diet coke got 200ml bottles; second request yielded 330ml bottles. I can only presume these substitutions were to generate more income from driving customers to a second drink
Now, there was nothing wrong with any of the food. It was fine. But we could have eaten in a pizza chain and paid about half for the same quality.
PS they have a children’s menu but a) didnt give it us til requested in spite of there being a five year old with us and b) charged and presented us with intimidating adult portions when we clearly asked for the childrens menu
