We ate at the seafood bar not the restaurant. it was fantastic recommend the scallops. They serve white wine by the glass (choice of 4) and have peroni on draught. Very reasonable priced.

Kilmartin Museum Cafe is open every day from 10 - 5 from March to end October and 11 - 4 during November and December. We close from Christmas until the beginning of March each year. The cafe provides lunches, cakes, teas and coffees. Wherever possible, our delicious and wholesome food is prepared on the premises and cooked to order. We cater for special diets on request and there are always vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options on offer. The cafe is on two levels, upstairs in the barn and downstairs in the green oak conservatory with views across Kilmartin Glen. We have wi-fi and daily papers so you can always keep in touch.
Visited Kilmartin Museum recently - the Café is comfortable and has a lovely outlook over Kilmartin Glen. The young staff really do need to be given the opportunity of some training in customer service. It costs nothing to greet customers with a friendly smile and a welcome, rather than a dreary indifference!

STUNNING FOOD IN A UNIQUE LOCHSIDE SETTING. Our Restaurant with its massive picture window gives all diners unparalleled, breathtaking views across Loch Craignish. With a menu to rival any restaurant in Oban, the Galley of Lorne offers delicious and stylish dining. Enjoy pre or post dinner drinks or a dram of whisky on our comfy sofas, alternatively stroll a few steps directly into the Lounge Bar in the company of our spectacular carved oak lions. We like to use local ingredients that are in season including seafood and game. Take a look at our menus to 'whet your appetite'. In addition to our superb menu, we also have menus for children's meals and our own homemade desserts and coffee menu. Furthermore, there are always a selection of 'specials' to give you even more choice.
This should be a lovely relaxed bar but unfortunately due to staff playing loud music at lunchtime/early evening you can't even have a conversation. One family in the pub and myself and partner so don't know why music was blasting other than staff certainly seemed to like it. We were going to order but food ordering times are very regimental and from what we seen of the kitchen it didn't look very clean. The bar was pretty dirty too and you could see where debris had been swept into corners and along the edge of the bar. Pretty poor really for somewhere that could be nice with a little thought and effort

We are a friendly wee place, meet for proper coffee, homemade cakes and yummy lunches! Lunch served from 12-4. Gluten free and vegan options available as standard.
We had an excellent dinner at the Smiddy on a Friday night. There was a very welcoming atmosphere and although busy, it was still relaxing. The food itself was excellent and very well presented. The staff were very helpful and efficient. There was a real mix of customers from a group of ladies to couples and families. It was a bit of a find in Lochgilphead and to be recommended.

"Lord of the Isles Bar and Restaurant is situated in the safe haven which is Craobh Haven Marina. Open for lunch and dinner, Lord of the Isles serves only the finest of west coast seafood and local produce. A favourite for locals and tourists alike, this wonderful bar and restaurant is definatly worth a visit"
Just back from a stay at Melfort Village and we visited the Lord of the Isles twice during our three day stay. We spent New Year's Eve there (and one of the staff even ran us home) and returned again yesterday evening. Both times the food was excellent, but it is the friendliness of the staff that really makes this place stand out above the crowd.
We were made to feel very welcome, as was Joe (our dog), who even had his own doggy dinner both times. It is a particularly dog friendly pub and there were several dogs there both times.
Hoping to return at some point.

But my favourite is a hot homemade roll with thick slices of homecooked ham and melted Orkney Cheddar, served with a great salad of chicpeas ,homemade coleslaw, and courgetts in a grain mustard dressing.

Went for drinks initially with close friends that then expanded to include starters and desserts. Hotel not too busy given the poor weather but we were well received by the owner Darren. Sat in the lounge on comfy sofas rather than sitting in the bar. Starters ordered and quickly received along with drinks for 3 and coffees for 2. Desserts and more drinks quickly followed. Service good by the young serving staff who were happy to chat - helps that most of them are locals and are known by me & my family.
Stayed until we found ourselves to be the last in the place. Good evening with friends and the bill was very reasonable. Know that the hotel gets poor reviews sometimes but we have never had a bad meal or poor service - feel that some people complain simply for the sake of it!!

It may not look much from the outside but this hotel has a good menu and range of beer.
Service is good, as was the quality of the food. I had fish, my wife pork belly and both were excellent.
Without being asked, the lady serving at the bar offered me a sample of the three main beers.
