Situated at the very heart of the village, facing the vineyard, le Chambard gives you access to an exceptional place where chef Olivier Nasti combines his creative talent with the celebration of the Alsation tradition, forming a unique gastronomic composition.
A very nice restaurant with excellent produce, wines and service.
However, note that the menu might not please fussy eaters. The menu a la carte has lots of game dishes deer, kidneys to name a few.
Their fixed menu 31€ e/p/d is well priced for the quality of the food, even though like all restaurants in these villages is still quite pricey.
Their wine list was also quite good (cremant d'alsace was Great!).

As I'm very particular about my Tarte Flambees, see my reviews in Roeschwoog, I was somewhat anxious about trying a modern version. However, I have to admit they tasted great. This trendy place looks like it has been a sushi bar on the past? Nice...MoreHello Lombert, I'm very pleased that you enjoyed our flammées ! Hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future. Best regards,

When visiting Riquewihr we always look forward to eating at the Sarment d'Or since discovering it about 18 months ago. Last week did not disappoint. The welcome is always courteous and warm and the staff are very attentive. The food is excellent and great value. Wine is available by the glass and the staff are more than happy to make recommendations. I can highly recommend this restaurant. Many thanks to the whole team.

Above all, Jean-Luc Brendel is passionate about, and loves, cooking. Today rewarded with a one-star rating by the Guide Michelin (R) Jean-Luc has become one of the most influential Chefs of the region. His gastronomic restaurant in Riquewihr "Table du Gourmet" is a fine culinary discovery. Inspired associations of flavours, the subtle presentation of each dish and the sheer refinement of each creation epitomise his gastronomic cuisine that reflects the colours of Alsace.
We went here, as we have been visiting this place several times before and food and service have been excellent.
We ordered the big menu and followed by the suggested wine menu.
Amuses and food was very creative and tasted fantastic, but unfortunately the serving went totally wrong, here some examples:
They do not have soda water only juices and as we don't want to serve alcohol for our 15 year old daughter, so she have to drink sparkling water all evening
The wine waiter talked to us in child language and in general talked down to us
There was a lot of wine flies in the restaurant which went into our glasses, this was "fixed" with that they came with a spoon so we could take the flies out by our self and then they come with a paper cover we could put on top of our glasses - IN A MICHELIN STAR RESTAURANT????
In general we are disappointed, not about the food, but the remaining set-up and for sure, no place else than France they will get a Michelin star, if they still have it

Loved this restaurant! We went here on our final night in kaserberg and the food was excellent! We really loved the selection and it's typically French feel! The duck was sublime! Worth knowing you need a reservation for here or even if there are tables you will not be able to eat here - we saw three groups being turned away even though there were available tables!

My wife and I ate lunch here in late August 2015, and enjoyed it. Most of the dishes on the menu were enormous (when they arrived at other people's tables), so we opted for something smaller - avocado & tuna with salad. That was fine, and so was the wine (Sylvaner), although one doesn't need to try wines from that grape too often.

From outside, this auberge looks quite standard. Step inside and let this family run business exceed your expectations. Everything is freshly prepared and Marie-Pierre delights in describing the dishes on offer. While you wait, take some time to explore the treasure trove of historic menus displayed on the walls. The food is expertly prepared and they will also guide you towards an optimum wine selection, based on your tasting preferences rather than prices. A thoroughly enjoyable evening

Good value for money restaurant. The food is good, the local wines are pretty good as expected. Seating outside in the evening, it was quite pleasant, and no smokers that evening. Unlike Australia, they still smoke like chimneys over there!
Desserts were very good, especially the black forest cake, big slices. According to my wife, the best she's ever had.
The service was a bit of a hit and miss at time, but they always fixed the problem straight away with good humour. Pleasant staff.

We had the set menu at, I think, 31 Euros, which represents great value for this level of dining. We hadn't booked but there was plenty of room in an elegant dining room. We were welcomed and given a delicious two-part amuse bouche, which set the right tone for the evening.
There is some choice at each course, but we both chose the asparagus bavarois to start. Wow! This was rich and delicious, the delicate flavour of the white asparagus bavarois enhanced by some green asparagus and garnishes. Fabulous.
We also plumped for the same main, a duck breast with soy and ginger flavoured noodles. Perfectly cooked duck was enjoyable but perhaps the dish lacked the wow factor of the starter. I finished with a lemon mousse on sable biscuit with chartreuse sorbet - a wonderful light and refreshing end to an excellent meal.
Proficient and imaginative cooking at an unbeatable price - highly recommended.

We ate here on two evenings during our week in Kaysersberg and had the same experience on both occasions.
The food was absolutely fine, but it took far too long to arrive, with a gap of at least 45 minutes between finishing our starters and getting our main courses. This was despite our group having pre-ordered our meals.
Settling up was also a challenge as the staff seemed to have more important things to do than bring you the bill.
