The Coffee Buzz is a small, intimate restaurant in Kasane, a mere 5 minute walk from the town centre and only a 2 minute walk from the Chobe River and the Kalahari Tours Jetty. The Coffee Buzz is owner-run and specializes in typical African and hearty German cuisine. We offer Breakfast & Lunch, Packed Lunches, delicious Cakes, Quiches and Buffets and have Weekly Specials. We also do Special Requests i.E. Kid's or adult Birthday Parties and we provide free Wi-Fi to all our customers having a meal. Come and join us for lunch with an ice cold beer in our secluded garden
The coffee buzz was our kick off point and our lunch spot for our full day in Chobe. We topped there for coffee, muffin and fruit before heading on a 3 hour boat cruise to see the animals. Plenty to see....impalas, hippos, elephants, fish eagles, cape buffalo and other birds. We then went back for a delicious buffet. The staff was helpful and easily accomodated my daughter who has Celiac (gluten free). The gift shop has some great items and tee shirts too.

Pizza Plus Coffee & Curry is an Indian, Chinese and continental cuisine restaurant centrally located in Kasane, Botswana.
When one of our group suggested PPCC, I was filled with trepidation; I mean with a name like this and offering Indian food in Kasane of all places. Kasane is remote and rural, just to set the scene. Always up for some adventure, we paid them a visit. The restaurant itself is very simple and neat, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the service was excellent.
But wait, the best part is still coming. The menu is very comprehensive, well so comprehensive, I am sure Gordon Ramsay would have popped a blood vessel. To spite the multitude of menu items, we all selected Indian dishes (there are many other types of dishes to choose from as well) and we enjoyed an ice cold beverage whilst waiting for the food order to arrive; admittedly there was a bit of nervous tension in the air as none of us knew what to expect. Well, was I bowled over! The food was freshly prepared and absolutely scrumptious. We selected the medium hot option and it was spot on. I could not fault the quality of the food we enjoyed, but if I have to find fault with my experience, they could add a tad more chocolate sauce on the ice cream serving :)
This experience gave me renewed hope to return to Kasane, in spite of my critical review of the lodge we stayed at (different review)
Well done to the owners for such a special place in an otherwise bland Kasane

Good food , good location. Clean and good service. When there are many guests you may have to wait a while for your food. It's not a problem because you can walk to the river ( less than 50 meters) and have a look while...MoreMany thanks for the kind review, we enjoy that people know its worth the stop and visit The Old House.

Although this is a buffet style restaurant the food there is a good variety of foods to suit all tastes. We ate here several times and the menu changed each time so we could try lots of different things. Food was hot and of good quality. Some nights there is entertainment by traditional African dancers

I popped in here to get some breakfast on my last day in Kasane. I ordered a bacon Sandwich and 25 minutes later I was still waiting. This might have been understandable if the place was very busy, but I was literally the ONLY customer in the whole restaurant. Slow and poor service.
That being said, the Sandwich was really tasty when it finally came, but I had to eat it as takeaway, as I needed to get back and check out of my hotel.

We are a 64 seater Floating Restaurant moored opposite Sedudu island. We prepare African meals with the central theme being the tradition Braai (BBQ). The only way to access our spot is by boat. There is a free shuttle running from Kasane to the Raft operated by Flame of Africa.
Having a braai in the middle of the Chobe River....surrounded by animals......a must for any traveller....the 'braai' was awesome....dessert a mustDear June H It does sound as if you thoroughly enjoyed the experience ! Do remember to include us again on your next trip to Chobe!! Flame of Africa Team

A wasted opportunity given the great location. Food uneventful. Service minimal. And all the staff had sour looking faces. Maybe they were having a bad day. Trouble is that Kasane is not spoilt for choices when it comes to dining out.
