Karaburun is a district and the center town of the same district in Turkey's İzmir Province. The district area roughly corresponds to the peninsula of the same name (Karaburun Peninsula) which spears north of the tourism resorts of neighboring Çeşme and its dependencies and west of the city of İzmir. In fact, the district area is one of the westernmost points of Anatolia. Karaburun town is situated close to the northern tip of the peninsula and checks the entry of the Gulf of İzmir with the town of Foça, another important tourism resort, across the waters. The district's administrative zone is bordered by the districts of Çeşme and Urla in its south and faces the Greek island of Chios to its west.

i totally love the albatros in Karaburun, Turkey. for three years, i had a beach house in Karaburun and the restaurant of choice was always the albatros. Ergin Bey and Andrea have created a wonderful feeling of family, comfort, and always provide delicious treats. i'm salivating just remembering the wonderful grilled fish, the mouth-watering mezes, and the wonderful friendship i felt from all members of the albatros. i held my 55th birthday party at the albatros and treated several friends to the culinary delights and wonderful hospitality i enjoyed during my time in Karaburun. now living in China, i often think about my weekends, holidays and summers spent in Karaburun. i could stroll down to the albatros or over to ergin pansiyon and always feel i was a member of the family. keep up the fabulous work, Ergin and Andrea...hope to get back to Karaburun one day. cheers from China!

This restaurant is one of many similar restaurants on the main waterfront street of Karaburun. They all have similar menus with similar prices. This one is quite good and the prices are reasonable. Their fried calamari was one of the best we ate in Karaburun. Their mezzes were not the best in town but their eggplant with cheese was really good, their fava is not worth having.
Their fish was fresh and well prepared.

This is by the shore; you feel as if you sit on the sea. The food is delicious. They have special warm starters which I liked very much. One with eggplant and cheese and the other with rolled Chard leaves filled with sea food. If you go for dinner go before it gets dark because the view is amasing. The prices are almost equal to any fish restaurant around.
