My dinner was ok although it was not as great as I could expect. The waitress tols us there are no places so we could eat sitting at the bar and there were people without reservation entering and they let them sit at the table so I feel it's not fair at all. Food ok but not to say I was very impressed.

Most tables are out the back, in the conservatory or on the Terrace, overlooking the park below. Very professional staff. We had a glass of the house red wine each which had a good flavour (we didn't really want more at a lunchtime, and the bottles were significantly more expensive than the house wine). For starters we had the pea pannacotte with trout and the goats cheese, both were good (the pea pannacotte excellent). For mains we had the duck breast (nice enough, but not as nice as the duck leg we'd had elsewhere) and the beef in the Czech creamy sauce. The sauce was not too creamy, good flavour, and it came with good slices of beef, and big sturdy dumplings. The duck came with a plum sauce and lots of potatoes. The main courses were very filling, so we didn't have room for dessert. The Terrace is a very peaceful place to sit and eat.

We celebrated a family occasion with small children, therefore we reserved a lounge bar (the reservation is FREE OF CHARGE) to have privacy. The service was quick and of high quality, the meals were good and very good, atmosphere was pleasantly cozy.
I can really recommend this restaurant!

There ware not many polite staff in Pec pod Snezkou. Pizza Anděl was different. Staff was very helpful and polite. Food was fresh and very good quality. The portions were large and filling. Price not very big. I would recommend for skiers and tourists

This small Czech pub has excellent food. The duck breast that I ordered was extremely tender and came with three nice potato pancakes, all in a light gravy with chopped walnuts. The breast had only a slight bit of pink color, so at first I thought it might have been overcooked, but in fact it was perfect; better than most duck dishes I've ordered elsewhere. I also had their cabbage soup, a large bowl with nice slices of sausage and a dollop of sour cream, and I washed all of this down with a Pilsner ale. The menu featured everything from pub appetizers to full entrees and desserts; it was available in English (and I imagine other languages as well). Delicious food and a chance to try the local fare, located very close to the historic main square.

After Reading positive reviews here, we had higher expectations. The restaurant is not bad, but also not anything special. The shrimps were tasty, but the salad was just average and home made lemonade so sour that it was difficult to finish it.

Our non-smoking restaurant, where the President, ambassadors and many other notable figures have enjoyed lunch, invites you to come and sample its excellent cuisine, it’s unrivalled selection of fine wines, and the authentic old-time Austro-Hungarian atmosphere. The U Dělové koule Restaurant is designed in the style of the year 1866, decorated with weapons, paintings and uniforms from the Austro-Prussian War. The restaurant can seat 70 people and offers regional and local specialties. There is also a summer Terrace for up to 20 people. Our staff assure a pleasant, family atmosphere, and speak German, English and Russian.

This restaurant belongs to the "adventure experiences" as it pretends to be medieval, including candle lights (expect semi-darkness), harsh talk, meat dishes and straw on the floor. We liked the food home-made bread!), although it was little overpriced, but especially the local beer is great. Our kids liked the unusual atmosphere. I would come with the special evening program next time to make it perfect.

On a short trip to Vrchlabi we were looking for somewhere to have a light lunch. Just a quick soup would do, we thought, not expecting much in a small town like this, but then we walked in this restaurant and our “light lunch” turned into a very pleasant, leisurely and very tasty experience. The décor is very nice with a large fish tank under the full length of the bar. The seats (semi-circular upholstered “enclosures”) are comfortable and giving the sense of privacy. As we arrived with our child, the push chair was taken care of by the staff and high chair brought to our table immediately. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was quick. The food was well presented, piping hot and tasty. The portions were good size but the child portion was too large for a child we thought.

We have visited this place today since it got great review on air in CZ Kitchen nightmares and it was worth it.
The building is very nice surrounded by beautiful rustic houses and spectacular piece of land.
We tryed duck broth - could have been lil bit stronger but otherwise very good and homemade. Than we had beef tartar which was delicious - one of the best Ive ever eaten.
As a main course we had trout with lime sauce and duck with dumplings and cabbage, everything was very tasty, maybe just the trout needed little bit more salt and to be better unboned.
All members of staff were friendly, they just could be little bit faster.
Overall nice place to spend ur lunch & afternoon.
