Hornchurch is a suburban town in the London Borough of Havering, East London, England, 15.2 miles (24.5 km) east-northeast of Charing Cross. Historically an ancient parish in the county of Essex, that became the manor and liberty of Havering, Hornchurch shifted from agriculture to other industries with the growing significance of nearby Romford as a market town and centre of administration. As part of the suburban growth of London in the 20th century, Hornchurch significantly expanded and increased in population, becoming an urban district in 1926, and forming part of Greater London since 1965. It is the location of Queen's Theatre, Havering Sixth Form College and Havering College of Further and Higher Education.

I've been looking to go to Umberto's for years. Tonight we finally got our backsides in gear to book a table. On arrival we were welcomed with big smiles and and the waiting staff took coats and placed them in their cloakroom. The layout of the restaurant is designed with lesser tables which means the staff can focus on service rather than trying to get as many people through the door as they can. Enzo and his staff made us feel at home and even read out and explained each dish on the specials board. Which makes the a la carte menu redundant due to the exciting offers on the board. I decided to go for the pork ribs to start, followed by lamb shank, finished off with the choc mint bomb for dessert. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. I even tried my friends spinach and ricotta tortellini which was divine.. I'm having that next time!!! I will definitely be back as an independent restaurant is a far better experience than the majority of chains that are out there.

We have been using Bekash for take away and the odd eat-in experience for many years now. We recently had a break from them (not because we were in any way unhappy) and used another local curry house. It was convenient to use them again in the last month and the food was as we remembered - fresh and tasty and not too greasy or heavy. And the staff were happy to see us again and did not make us feel bad for not having been for a while but appeared genuinely pleased to see us. We will definitely continue to use them. Great food.

This is a good old fashioned restaurant, the food was quiet good ,the staff were lovely , and the table was cleared after each course, they brought round the dessert trolley , and I wanted strawberries and meringue I watched them disappear as the trolley went round and when it got to our table they had all gone, but the staff went and made me a fresh one lovely thank you

Well located restaurant in the centre of town. Friendly attentive staff with a nice atmosphere. Very popular so can get very noisy if large groups of people. Nice range on the menu and had excellent Thai fish cakes and red chicken curry for mains. Really nice selection of ice cream available.

At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Found at the end of the high street of this beautiful market town and less than 10 minutes from the nearest tube, this modern restaurant offers a relaxed and warm atmosphere, which makes for a perfect daytime or night out rendez-vous for families, couples and visitors to the area.Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather.
My granddaughter loves pasta and chose Zizi for our meal. We had garlic bread with rosemary for starters it was the best garlic bread ever. My main was a chicken pasta meal which was extremely tasty. Great service with a smile. I would definitely eat here again

Had family lunch for 8 (5 adults 3 children) here on Sunday, Atmosphere and service were good, the food (mainly pizza) was lovely, portions were big, and ridiculously cheap. The prawn linguine was delicious!

Traditional Italian
I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. We eat here at least once a month (probably more)
The food is amazing, I think I may have tried everything on the menu now as we have been coming here for years. The service is fantastic the waiters/staff are always fantastic and make you feel so welcome. We visit Italy every year (different places) and this is definitely a little taste of Italy in Upminster.
I would recommend the mussels (usually a special) and for main ... well ... the steak, any of the pastas and tonight I tried the calves liver for the first time and it was beautiful.
Anything you pick I doubt you will be disappointed.
If you are around the area it is a must.
Thank you for always being so amazing !

Due to our recent refurbishment, while we love and welcome children, we must emphasis that in the interesf of customers comfort and safety, children must remain the strict supervision of parents while on the premises. In this regard it is regretted that children are not allowed on the premises after 9pm every day of the week. We are also Strictly over 21's, please do not be offended if we ask you for ID
My family and I visited the 'GI' yesterday for my wife's birthday celebration. The Food, Ambience, Staff (especially Nicola our waitress) infact everything was excellent.First Class. Another great feature, that I was not aware of, is that on Mondays and Tuesdays there is a 'Steak Deal' offer which is fantastic. The food was hot, good and served quickly although we were a party of nine persons. Also much to my surprised the menu is very comprehensive and varied, not just steaks & chicken. Much better than their competitors 'down the road'. We will definitely return, often. Thank you 'Good Intent'. JTM France, Hornchurch.
