We rented an apartment for the month of February in the White Sands area. While out walking the area on our first night...we came upon Non Solo Pizza. We were very pleasantly surprised with their wood burning pizza. We ordered two pizzas (bigger than a dinner plate)...one 'Napoli' with capers, olives and anchovies. The second was a sausage & pepper pizza. They make a decent thin crust, good quality cheese and the sauce was flavorful. The 2nd time we went with my mother and sister...we ordered a few different pizzas...all good. We went again with them a third time. On our 4th visit I ordered a vegetarian pasta dish - not good. Pasta was overcooked, tomato sauce so salty it was unedible. My husband ordered a panzorotti, also not good. We also took a chance and had the ceasar salad...was basically just a mayo sauce, no anchovies, garlic, lemon, pepper - or much of anything other than mayo. Lots of crust, not much filling and bland. Yes, I would recommend this restaurant - but stick to the pizza.

Looking forward to a great News Years eve meal as we arrive in Punta Cana we were told that this would be a great experience. An experience it was, great it was not! The portions wre tiny annd basicly unappetizing. If you want poor quality and high prices this is your place otherwise avoid

This is a Reataurant you will find in Higuey. They have good mofongo, i rated two stars because of the mofongos but would rather rate this restaurant one star due to its bad service. No one will attend your table, but you'll see the waiter chatting with his cell phone or gossiping with the cashier at the bar while you see this and wait and wait and wait. When you ask for oileve oil, vinegar and salt you'll see scum inside the salt with rust. Not olive oil but plain and simple cooking oil...omg. This place needs someone to really care because its a good spot in the little town of higuey just 45 minutes from bavaro.

Appetizer: Shared a meal size portion of seafood soup. Main course: Mixed rice dish (with meat), Tostones (fried plantains), and a shrimp main dish. The soup was very good, very flavorful. The large portion is definitely enough for a meal. We sat outside. There was a cool breeze the entire time. The restaurant is in the city of Higuy, not far from the Basilica of our Lady of Altagracia. There was a lot of (loud) traffic, but it was not too distracting. We were the only couple eating there (around 5:30pm). The waitress was attentive, but did not speak English. I don't think that would be a significant barrier to eating here (and the menu had English descriptions).

The Catalonia Royal Bavaro is clean, friendly and has everything I was looking for. A great beach, nice spa, multiple restaurants, shopping and a wonderful staff. Special shout outs to Beatrice and David at Ocean Blue and Kenny, one of the beach runners. The housekeeping staff are super friendly and do a beautiful job with flowers in our room. We would go back in a heart beat!

I am rating this restaurant based on my waiter alone. Eduardo was phenomenal. Our drinks (water and wine) never went below half. When I didn't like the catalloni he quickly recognized it and offered to get me something else. Watching him was fascinating. Diligent worker with a genuine smile the entire time.

This was the best experience I´ve had so far in Higuey. The place is beautiful and well maintained, the ice cream and the different creations they have are delicious. totally worth the price.

After visiting La Basilica, two of my friends and I stopped by this lovely restaurant. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. One of my Instagram friends recommended this place and I trusted that recommendation because that person lives in Higuey. That recommendation was a perfect one.
The actual name of the restaurant is Centro de Mariscos La Delicia. I will refer to it as “La Delicia.” La Delicia is located on the street that runs behind La Basilica. It was pretty easy to find. After parking and walking up to the restaurant, I instantly fell in love with the look of the place. It really had a tropical look and feel. The hut-like covering and entrance won me over quickly.
Nevertheless, as soon as we entered, we sat down. The server approached us and immediately and took our orders. I know the Dominican Republic is known for its great hospitality and extreme courteousness. That was on display in great form at La Delicia. The server was very attentive and checked on us regularly.
I ordered white rice, chicken and a small side salad. The food was PREPARED GREAT and was VERY DELICIOUS. Of course I ordered a Presidente Beer to go with it.
Whenever I am in or near Higuey, I will stop here and eat here without a second thought. The ambience, food and service ARE GREAT!
