We have visited this lovely cafe/restaurant catering for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free people where everything is produced on site including cakes and sweets, several times.
Tables are pine with a rustic feel.
It seems to suit all ages from babies, couples, ladies who lunch and families.
Our waitress was amazing - she seemed to be serving everyone present.
They have an outward facing policy of donating part of their profits to save a Scottish forest.
Food varies from soup of the day, to baked potatoes with various fillings and pancakes GF or not. All excellently cooked and flavoured with care.

We also do Various Exotic Steaks Like Kangaroo, Venison, Wild boar etc. on Hot Volcanic Stones (Black Rock). We do almost everything fresh and is made on the premises may it be our Maris Piper potato chips, desserts or Ice Creams. We Take pride in the Food we serve.
This is by far the best restaurant for miles around, and we've tried lots! The food is exquisite - it is so tasty and cooked to perfection. No mass-produced American junk here like you get in the chain restaurants in Jarman Park, this is home cooked, full of flavour and the portions are really big. The service is always lovely with really friendly staff who actually care.
The restaurant décor is lovely and if you pick a meal where you have to cook the meat on a hot stone, it's really fun! Myself and my partner always choose exotic meats as there's nowhere else you can get anything like that, but the 'normal' food is gorgeous too.
Highly recommended!

Difficult to fault. 16 of us went for lunch prior to a football match today (which ended up being postponed....)! and were given a huge table which ensured we could all be together. Great service, all the food arrived together, a fabulous carvery too, and spotlessly clean. A great selection of beers. My first visit here since 11 December 1981. How do I know? That was the evening I proposed to my wife here! The pub’s changed a bit, but the wife hasn’t!

My wife and I visit this restaurant on a regular basis. We always receive a courteous welcome and excellent service.
The food is always superb, coked from fresh ingredients and the presentation is excellent. Our top choice is tandouri chicken which is so succulent and delicious. There is a wide range of different dishes on the menu and the many friends we have taken here have thoroughly enjoyed them. The restaurant caters for different diets without any fuss. After your meal you can enjoy a complimentary spirit or liqueur. We are looking forward to. our next visit

Uniquely styled, Hemel Hempstead’s K2 Balti House is situated on Two Waters Road, close to the banks of the River Gade, and between the very centre of Hemel Hempstead and the smaller area of Kings Langley. You won’t miss the restaurant - an imposing white painted building with its pillared entrance and statement blue neon exterior lighting. It has an eye-catching design with a very modern style, which continues on into the Restaurant itself, where comfort meets chic in the most dynamic of ways. Superb views out over pretty countryside scenery are enjoyed in the Conservatory area, while outdoor decking and Restaurant Terraces provide lovely "al fresco" dining away from the hubbub of the town centre. Service is extremely personable here at K2, with staff all trained to a very high standard, providing a truly professional but welcoming service.
We had a family lunch at the K2 on a cold snowy day. The restaurant was warm, spacious and clean with friendly, attentive and welcoming staff. The quality of the food and wine was excellent. Our taxi driver on the journey there was singing their praises. He says it's the best curry for miles. I can't help but agree. Every course was as good, the wine was very nice and even the coffee was exceptionally good. In this country I find that a rare treat! Other people have said it's expensive, but it's a better quality restaurant than others in the area and worth paying a little more for. It was worth every penny.

Independent Italian Restaurant. Real Italian food prepared fresh on the premises (including dessert) by our Sicilian chef and his team. We specialise in meat, fish, game, pasta, vegetarian and vegan. We have an excellent selection of premium Italian wine. We are the only restaurant offering genuine Italian food in the region, and you can taste the quality.
This charming Italian restaurant is in the Old High Street in Hemel Hempstead, the nicest part and the oldest part of the town. Alberto's has a fine menu of Italian specialities such as Parma ham, Risotto balls, pasta, sardines, whitebait, smoked salmon, main courses of chicken, veal, beef, lamb and duck plus grilled steaks, calf's liver, Beef Stroganoff and some good old English fare including Lincolnshire sausages and Breaded chicken breast on the daily specials menu. The sausages were excellent with delicious mash and lots of onion gravy, while the chicken with chips and salad was much appreciated. Desserts of Raspberry Pavlova and the Crepe Aurelia, a pancake filled with ice cream and orange sauce, were a real treat. Can't wait to go back!

Kasbah Restaurant invites you, in the spirit of Moroccan's traditional hospitality (D'yafa Feast), to a unique journey where dining is a social anthem of hospitality, and cookery is a translation of care and affection. We take great honour in sharing this experience with you. Our native Moroccan chefs from Fez are pleased to bring their expertise from the heart of Morocco to the heart of Hemel Hempstead
Kasbah Restaurant is simply not to be missed. As you step inside, you step into Morocco and receive a warm welcome, from the wonderful Moroccan family who run this restaurant. The atmosphere is exotic, captivating and relaxing.
The friendly waiters will take you through the menu which is all home cooked and prepared to a very high standard. Dishes are traditionally presented which is very attractive and adds to the authenticity. The food is tasty and full of flavour; this is home cooking!
Moroccan wines are excellent by any standard and it would be a mistake to not try them. (Bare in mind Morocco has a great tradition of viniculture and a great climate too.)
We encountered 2 couples who had not tried Moroccan cuisine before and they were totally enchanted by this trstaurant as are we.
Will we visit again? Try and keep us away.
