If you want a beer and a quick bite while on a bike tour, this is a nice spot. But the menu is limited, so don't expect gourmet food. Beer was super cheap, the local pils was nice on a hot day.

A restaurant in an idyllic rural setting - with high aspirations. The menu features innovative and creative fresh cuisine with Mediterranean flavours as well as an extensive selection of palatable wines. The staff are friendly and look forward to seeing you.
One evening the dinner was perfect. Next evening the dinner was average.

We stayed at the Hotel just next to the Restaurant. So dinner was late, but everything was very good. Food was homemade. We had good wienerschnitzels. Really friendly and helpfull staff.

Stumbled across this gem of a brewpub and restaurant whilst exploring the lovely half timbered town. Popular with both visitors and locals, it provides an extensive buffet, plus a number of their own brewed beers. Beautifully decorated, it would be very easy to spend a lot of time here. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to eat, but the buffet looked superb. We did manage to sample the beers though which where very good indeed. With beer as good as this, I'd expect the food to be equally as good. Will be going back on my next trip to the area for sure.

I happened to find this place by accident when we pulled off the A7 highway and followed 8 km of winding forest road to a quaint little town.
Apparently the meister has won several European competitions for the best wurst.
There are two sides, a restaurant and the other side is a deli with a take out windows. Small Seating outside on the street.
Tried the curry wurst. It was ok but the sauce was very tasty. The staff were friendly and they gave us some samples of sausages we wanted to try, like the blood sausages with paprika. They are also know for a wurst with praline. We didn't try it but it is also sold as a souvenir, in a box like chocolates.
If you happen to be driving along the A7 and have time to drop in to Hann Muden and visit the best wurst in Europe, you should.

Loved the minimal atmosphere in this old building . Service was friendly and smiling . Food was superb !! Both German and Italian dishes are sooo tasty . Plates are soo big : e.g. schnitzel portion is with two schnitzels and a small mountain of pommes frites . Soups are very - very tasty . As far as drinks , there is beer , wine and also whiskey . A place where locals eat . Prices very reasonable ( 20 euros for : a soup , a beer and a schnitzel )

Our whole dining experience at the Kreta was fabulous.
In the clean and well decorated dining room tables are spaced nicely with enough room for comfortable Seating. Table service was helpful, friendly and perfectly attentive. We found the meals delicious and great value.
We will definitely visit the Kreta again when we return to Hann Munden.

I liked the location of the restaurant and also enjoyed the food. Only thing I have to criticise is that the knifes obviously needed some sharpening, since mine did not work as it should have. However, everyone was extremely friendly and I had a nice evening. Will definitely visit again!

We had some of the best pizza ever. Their ingredients were very fresh, and the best part was the beautiful cheese they use. The dough was also very good and thin and crispy throughout. Can not recommend highly enough.

We were really surprised by the high quality of food in this local Vietnamese restaurant. Should definitely be on Tripadvisor since it is arguably the best place we have eaten in town. We did not notice it before, even if it's central, likely due to the rather boring look outside from the pedestrian street. Inside it's clean and nice, managed by a kind Vietnamese lady who serves and her husband who works as chef. They really care about customers and their Asian food, which happens to be some of the best Vietnamese-Thai dishes we had for long time. For example, I inappropriately asked for standard ketchup for my 10-year old son, and Vietnamese lady was mildly disappointed with me since she had prepared home-made Vietnamese ketchup for that order of course :) I had sizzling hot beef, sprouts and fresh vegetables served directly from the pan. Delicious fried duck, chicken, great soups and curries for very reasonable prices. Try the home-made Wan-tans and spring rolls, they are yummy. We saw a lot of regular customers and the restaurant seems to have a large local fan community on Facebook. Definitely recommendable.
