Had the misfortune of having Sunday lunch with my family there. The service is beyond dismal and the food most probably the worst we have had. Made an advance booking, they confirmed via sms but on arrival the booking was not found. Waited just over a hour for the food. When it arrived the chicken wings were ice cold, the jalapeño poppers turned out to be battered fish fingers!. The music was so loud you could not have a conversation. Don't bother spending your hard earned money at this dump!!!!!

We visited as Greek as it Gets after a train ride to Cullinan. I had to try this popular restaurant out for myself. The staff are friendly but the owner would shout at them constantly. Maybe that is the Greek way? The food was average and pricy. Quite a loud environment. Overall, a good experience and I think it’s more of a family vibe than a couples vibe. Not sure I’d rush here in a hurry.

Not strictly Dutch, but you don't have an option for "Pancakes"
Why pancakes in Cullinan? Because these are not "pancakes" in the sense of North America but, rather, pannenkoeken in the sense of European low countries rolled in the form of crepes. The restaurant has a rustic ambiance to both its interior and porch settings, and the service is good. What's better, though, is what arrives to the table from the kitchen. We ordered a trout filet, creamy spinach, and sticky pork pancakes, all of which were prepared fresh and enjoyable. Harrie's pancakes is a pleasant change from the standard luncheon fare found in most other restaurants.

I like to look what the specials are - no not because of pricing - because of flavours - and I hope for panna cotta and berries. I also love to have not only my cinnamon and sugar but maple syrup - and all my wishes are met at Harries. Never heard a complaint from any of my kids either when eating there - they do savoury and sweet

Pollo pizza was moist and quite tasty.
Provolone pizza was the polar opposite. Burnt crust, sparse toppings and chorizo charred to a crisp.
When bringing this to the waiter's attention ,he just offered a smile in response.
Oh well, hope the guy at the traffic light enjoyed it!

This ice cream parlor has been around for 'donkey years', I remember how we visited an earlier outlet in Sunnyside. It is not the most creamy ice cream I've had, but the flavors are rich and non-artificial. Compared to more commercialized ice cream shops in Pretoria, they are well priced for the portion sizes. Royal Copenhagen is still my favorite flavor!

Although the dish I ordered was tasty when it eventually arrived, it took some negotiating to begin with. Ordered a pasta that consisted of prawns, calamari and mussels. I do not beat mussels so asked that they be left out. Dish arrived with prawns, calamari and disgusting chopped up cheap and nasty crab sticks!!!! These were added by the chef at his discretion. No thanks. You confirm with ME if you add stuff that I didn't order. Prices are NOT cheap. Be prepared for Joburg prices in Cullinan!

Felt like burgers to eat so decided to go to the Burger Bistro in Hazelwood (having been to the first Burger Bistro eating place some time ago). The choice or variety of burgers is great. The meat patties were tasteful and cooked as ordered. The size of the burger must be seen to be believed and the chips were fresh and crispy. We arrived ‘a bit early’ for dinner but by the time we left the establishment was filling up - always a good sign. Definitely stays on my list as the place to go for burgers!

Overpriced food that looks like it was made in a street type fish and chips cafe. Worst chicken mayo sandwhich. Very disappointed. And so expensive for what you get. And people smoke.

The delicious cuisine at the a la carte KINGFISHER RESTAURANT overlooking the small dam at the main lodge and onto the plains of the Dinokeng Game Reserve will cause you to leave with great reluctance at the end of your stay! We serve lunch, light snacks and dinner.
When we came for dinner it took the waiters 20 minutes to take our order and additional 15 to tell us that the wine we ordered us not available. Another 20 minutes and ourfood arrived. It was worth the waiting! Well prepared, tasty, simply near perfection. Plus the great view from the deck with the dam and wild game.
