Müüriääre kohvikust on saanud üks Haapsalu tuntumaid söögikohti. Eriliseks teeb selle koha sümbioos heast toidust, omanäolisest interjöörist, heast aurast, lillelisest tagahoovist, miljonidollarivaatest linnusele ja kellatornile, imelistest kookidest, kohvilõhnast, muusikast, tuttavatest-sõpradest, keda juhuse tahtel kohtad just Müüriääres. Maitsta tasub meie kohviku hitt-toodet - vaarika-beseerulli.
We had lunch at the Muuriaare Cafe while on a small-group tour of Haapsalu. While nearly all the menu offerings were appealing (I had a smoked chicken salad with greens, a poached egg, and some freshly grated Parmesan cheese), the cakes were indeed the real...MoreThank you very much for your review and welcome back!

Haapsalu Kuursaal, designed by Architect Knüpffer in 1897 is a light and lacy, spectacular historicist wooden building. It is the only resort hall in Estonia, which has been preserved in its original form.
I'm really happy we visited this restaurant in Haapsalu. Service was attentive and friendly, the building itself was a masterpiece and really spacious. A play room for kids was available, too.
Ox cheek was delicious, even though the portion wasn't especially big... so prepare yourself for dessert to get your stomach full.

In the beer and coffee room for 50 people of Hermannus House you can enjoy pleasant interior and delicious dishes in the warmth of the fireplace heated by real wood. For art lovers there are from time to time Exhibitions of Estonian artists and photographers. In the pub you can watch TV programs. In the cellar floor you will find a modern interior cosy bar with historical touch for 25 people. There you can play pool and on request organize events. In summer season you can enjoy beautiful weather and delicious foods and drinks on the outdoor Terrace right at the foot of town wall.
Great location in Old Town, next to number 1 attraction in Haapsalu, Episcopal Castle.
Stylish from outside and interesting, colourful interior. Service was friendly and fast, but food wasn't just as good. Basically there was nothing wrong and because of their reasonable prices it's ok place for visit, but food wasn't that special. We took Wiener Schnitzel and Fish & Chips and they were exactly same, except meat/fish. This was first time when I had Tar-Tar Sauce and Coleslaw with Schnitzel. Fries were undercooked and instead of one big "steak" that Schitzel usually is, I got two small ones.

The Wiigi coffeehouse in Haapsalu is perfect for business and family lunches or dinners, for birthdays and celebrations of any other event. In winter time our guests have two rooms Seating 30 and 10 persons at their disposal. Our Terrace with sea view offers space for 40 persons and in the summertime our guests can enjoy the view until the sunset. Our menu includes a wide selection of different foods from starters to desert. Interesting to know:
We tried the duckbrest with, with a delicious blueberry sauce with blueberries, green peas and cauliflowerpure. Really nicly presented and the duck brest was perfectly coocked, crispy on the outside and rose inside.
The other dish was a local white fish (Koha in Estonian language), perectly fried with the outside slightly browned and the inside still juicy but coocked, it came along with small nicely fried potatoes, on bed of spenatpowder(!) acompanied by a sauce of cottage cheese and creme fraiche and some nice vegetables.
Bread baked inhouse with butter w olive oil was complimentory, the cost for this first class meal for two persons was 40€ incl. 2 glasses of a nice houswine from Porfugal.
The only minuses noted are the premises, indoors, the walls and ceilings are naked resulting in a disturbing sound level when highvoiced guests are there. The veranda have poor protection from wind.
Highly recomended by us.

The Laterna Baar in Haapsalu is located in a wooden house built in the 1920s. The bar on the ground floor in the courtyard of the building offers a wide variety of homely dishes. You will get good food and quickly. The inside of the bar seats 15 people, the Terrace seats 20 people. Accommodation is provided on the first floor of the building.
I believe its most of local people favourite place to eat in when you are on your lunch break and don't have a lot of time to wait for a meal to get ready or when you miss some traditional dish you haven't had for awhile and you are too lazy to cook it yourself. Its a bit tucked away, so tourists wouldn't really find it that easily, but very close to old town. I always pop in when i visit Haapsalu, i just never had a disappointing meal or service there. And prices should be affordable for most families. Its just a great little place! Oh yes, forgot to mention, they do have couple of rooms too for the night to hire.

Blu Holm café in Laine Spa hotel is a spacious and well-lit place, accommodating up to 24 people. Sample some of the nourishing drinks and snacks, prepared by the chefs; restaurant with the same name is located right next to the cafe.
The looks and decorations are bit sovjet-like, but do not let that turn you away. Menu consists of mostly traditional dishes with some Estonian specialities. We had herring for starters and duck as main course. Desserts tried were cheese cake and baked Camembert. Every dish wash very tasty and made of fresh ingredients.
The elderly waiters were very cordial and provided really nice customer service in several languages.
Prices were very cheap for the quality: 3 course dinner for 2 with aperetif and sparkling wine just bit over 50 €.
Warmly recommended !

Restaurant SOFFA was opened in the summer of 2011 in Haapsalu. The hall on the first floor is spacious and full of light, there are comfortable chairs and couches. There is a cozy bar in the cellar, also with soft couches and chairs, including a dance hall and a small smoking lounge. Soffa offers delicious food from appetizers to main courses and organises entertainment on the weekends. Useful information: The location of Soffa is not coincidental. This is the old Post Office, located on the main street and in the historical Old Town of Haapsalu.

Dietrich's Cafe has an impressive history. Take up a 20th at the beginning of the century. Cafe Dietrich belonged to the family and cafes considered Haapsalu Mond Baker Paul Dietrich. Business was primarily known kontiitritoodete in terms of quality. Baked in a wide assortment of cakes, cakes, cookies, vastlakukleid, and Christmas gingerbread Easter pashat several types. Bakers to bake the bread, and the bar- ley bread pastries. Dietrich was at the top of coffee and a number of former haapsallaste memories, Dietrich was highly valued in the cafe cakes. Dietrich Cafe Haapsalu acted the same time Five Cross, Pasture 5 and Jewellery Street business and actively to the occupation of Haapsalu. Decades behind the family had managed to maintain a single cafe pieces of furniture, bakery tools, and photos. We were starting to build a cafe and a background in researching great pleasure and happiness meet with indigenous haapsallase Maie Dietrich once famous cafe owners offspring. Beautiful and stately lady was very touched that we his family belonged to continue the story of Dietrich's cafeteria. We are his blessing, and he believes that the cafe is successful and wins the hearts of the people. His great desire was to be able to decorate a cafe and pastry melt in your mouth. We give at its best! New Hapsal Dietrich cafeteria created by two families whose passion and Cooking is a hobby, a dining enjoyment, love, and a small cafe respect for the history of Haapsalu, Estonia ancient architecture and a simultaneous furniture. Also The cafe takes a lot of Estonian contemporary interior design elements, and we have tried to shape it as it was 100 years ago. Welcome!
