Gunsan (Korean pronunciation: [kun.san]) is a city in North Jeolla Province, South Korea. It is on the south bank of the Geum River just upstream from its exit into the Yellow Sea. It has emerged as a high-tech manufacturing industrial city and an international trade seaport that is approximately 200 km southwest of Seoul on the midwest coast of the Korean Peninsula.

After nearly two week in Gunsan, found this place. Its superb. Location excellent, lake side, due to very cold we sat inside.
Food was excellent, wow taste, good quantity and not so costly comparing to other places we have eaten recently. We had 4 different type of pastas and all very delicious.
A big plus is the staff, English speaking and very helpful in choosing the dishes.

Cruising through Gunsan we needed to have lunch and thisnrestaurant popped up at recommended.
Very small place but good. Mostly you will have to wait outside in the line for 20nto 50 min to get a seat.
The soups and the jajangmyoen noodles are very tasty.

Great atmosphere and service. Staff was very helpful despite language barriers. The food was unbelievably good. I would recommend that you know some Hangul before you come here though because there are no English or Romanized menus, so you will have no idea what you are ordering unless you know Hangul. I went with the staff's recommendation which ended up being some type of beef soup, along with kimchi and a few other sides. The majority of the food, especially the kimchi, was very spicy but not overpowering. I paid only 7,000 Won for a outstanding, filling meal. Excellent place.

If you want a taste of home ('merica) this is the place! The burgers are the best in Gunsan, and rival your favorites back home. The restaurant has a coffeehouse, jazzy, vibe inside... don't let that fool you, the food's legit.

Stumbled on this place with a few friends a few days ago. Like most places it's really hard to find them unless you know someone who knows the area. Ashley's is an all you can eat buffet that's really good. I usually eat the garlic pizza and ribs! They also have fried chicken that's pretty good as well. The price for the buffet was 21,000 won, they also have three different choices of wine that was 3,000 won for unlimited!

After browsing some doubutful recommendations on foursquare, I found this joint had rave reviews (by locals) on Tripadvisor. So I gave it a try and they were spot on. Excellent service, quality meat and side dishes at a reasonable price. I just ate too much but leaving with a happy memory and will definitely come back again.

This is a cute caffe tucked away on a busy street. This caffe is warm and inviting. There was one staff worker but she was very attentive and took absolutely pride in her work and made sure our orders were perfect (despite the language barrier). We all ordered "crack waffle" or waffle with gelato. I orders the green tea waffle but you have a choice of blueberry, original, and green tea. There are at least 20 flavors of gelato to choose from. The prices are affordable for the quantity, presentation, and quality of ingredients. This caffe will be a repeat offender!
