Sublime. Eight courses of mouth watering dishes lovingly prepared, expertly cooked and with produce from their own farm, served with baskets of freshly baked bread still warm and locally sourced wine. Very humble, the hosts greet diners as family and I love the novel way the first person booked in that evening gets to select the following day's menu. If you have the opportunity, check out their website which offers recipes for all their dishes. I am longing to return. When we arrived, we had not booked, the restaurant was fully booked but they managed to accommodate us anyway which was immensely kind, much appreciated and I recommend to many others as I know they will not have a finer experience, creating lasting wonderful memories.

"It s the season and the market who make up the menu.I gain inspiration from the raw materials, but also fromthe sun and the rain, from the sharp wind, and from the scents of the sea and of the forest that reach the city""Il menu lo decide la stagione e il mercato.Dalle materie prime mi ispiro,ma anche dal sole e dalla pioggia, dal vento pungente e dal profumo di salsedineche arriva in citta"
Warm friendly service in this little rustic restaurant in the center of Grosseto. The food is outstanding, sophisticated created by chef Moreno Cardone who comes and discussed the food with you. The squid starter was perfectly cooked followed by the turbot with potatoes. Small criticism was that the fish was almost cold. Excellent olive oil, a welcome glass of prosecco too.

it is difficult to find so I have attached some photos from what is possible to see from the street where there is no mention of the restaurant only Podere MnSTIAIO.
The starters were fantastic and kept coming, we then chose a tris for primi which gave us a choice of 3 of their vast selection of fresh pastas, i was full but still managed to eat the tagliata, which was probably the best quality meat I have ever had with a gorgonzola and nut sauce, desserts were too much but we had coffee, water and a bottle of their excellent house wine.
Compliments to the waiter (good luck with your baby) and the chef who passed regularly by to ensure everyone was happy
Stunned to pay only 59 euro

After Fiumara we went to see this place as it is nr 4 on the recommendation list in Marina di Grosseto.
The atmosphere is not nice, ugly strandbar. The restaurant was half empty at 21:00 and we were re-seated to a smaller table. Place is very loud of loud speaking Italians. Harsh lights, etc. The waitresses were a bit stressed, impatient and not really polite.
We were served warm, untasty wine. The fish was fresh and delicious, but it was not peeled. Never had such a disappointment in a Restaurant and paid for 2 glasses of white wine, 2 fish, an untasty salad and some grilled vegetables 69 Euros.
Never again.

This is one of one of my favourite eateries inTuscany, I have eaten there many times at various times of the year and the food is always seasonal, fresh and delicious.
Family owned and run, the unassuming exterior on a busy side street wouldn't entice you in unless you had been tipped off but the menu is varied and exceptional value and the fact that it is busy with locals at lunctime and evenings is testimony to just how good it is. The owner and family speak quite good English but generally don't intervene unless you are struggling which I think is a nice touch, you enjoy the whole experience.

Prezzi anticrisi.

small local family. It offers typical Maremma dishes, pasta and homemade desserts.
My wife and I had no Italian, and the waitress had some English, but she went out of her way to translate the menu. The food and wine was great..typical local food, and large servings so we were able to try several dishes and share. Really enjoyed the homy atmosphere with many locals having their night out...thoroughly recommend if in Grosseto. The complimentary "grappa" to finish a memorable night was appreciated.
