We have often visited this chinese restaurant while visiting family in the area and we found the staff to be very friendly.
However on our last two visits we have noticed that things have started to slide. On our most recent visit our group of 4 arrived at 9:30pm on a week-night and were informed that we could not stay longer than one hour as they wanted to close, this despite there being only two other guests in the place. Frankly I would rather be told that they were already closed than to be told I had to get out at a certain time.
The staff are also not as friendly and the quality of the food has also gone down. The buffet used to be a good option if you were hungry, but the quality and selection of that has also gone down.
I hope the good days return to Lee Ho Fook!

Friendly helpful staff made a plan for us on a busy night despite us not having had the foresight to make a reservation.
An interesting menu with unusual options and combinations. Friendly efficient service with staff supporting each during busy periods. Despite there being larger groups including business dinners the ambiance was rather intimate and private with ample space between tables to allow for privacy.
Recommend you give it a try, we were well pleased and the bill wasn't exhorbitant either!

We booked an afternoon tea for a sunday in July at the Jachtslot. It is located in the middle of the woods where you can take a nice hike before havong your food.
It all started with the possibility to explore the little castle whilst having a glass of champagne. Then there were the small sandwhiches and scones, a quiche and a buffet with cheeses and desserts.
It was all nicely done, the food was nice but nothing extra-ordinary. Two of our guests arrived later and they forgot to bring them champagne.
Staff was nice but inexperienced. Besides the 2 elder ladies behind the reception: typical case of Dutch 'friendliness'. There was not a smile on their faces and everything they said was in short syllables, not something you would like to have sitting there, welcoming your guests.
I thought it was a nice experience but nothing to rave about.

We parked our car on the parking of the restaurant and we started from there for a walk in the surprising forest. After a walk of 1.5 hour we relaxed outside and enjoyed our pancake with powder sucker and apples.

This restaurant is an excellent place to share time with your family eating pancakes. While most of their pancakes are not typically Dutch, they are of excellent taste.
They offer both sweet and savory pancakes. If you are not accustomed to Dutch savory pancakes, you should definitely give it a try.

Since opening in 2001, we have made it our Mission to source the best produce the 'Rijk van Nijmegen' area has to offer. Local ingredients are used to create dishes inspired by French and international cuisines. Our menus are created with a passion for pure taste, texture and quality. We are featured in both the Michelin and Gault-Millau guides and have for several years been the proud possessors of a Michelin Bib Gourmand, emphasizing our great value-for-money menus. There also is a carefully chosen wine list and we are happy to serve wines by the glass to accompany individual dishes. We look forward to welcoming you to 'In geuren en kleuren' to experience the taste of the region!
A very good restaurant, relaxing atmosphere, excellent wines. The hostess and the chef are the owners of the restaurant, which expresses itself into a very warm stay. Their staff is very friendly and capable. There is enough choice in meals, also for vegetarians and people with special diets. There are 2 kinds of menus: a daily menu and a regularly changing menu, both very creative. Charateristic is that the chef prefers to cook with regional fresh ingredients.

The PUUR M formula: small dishes, great tastes. For all lovers of honest food and excellent wines.
Having given a great review to this restaurant 6 months ago, my Wife and I were really looking forward to eating here again. There were only 3 other tables occupied on a dark Monday evening, but despite the lack of clients the attention and service given to us was really disappointing. The Chef's wife seemed to give all her attention to the other tables of local people that she obviously knew well and seemed disinterested as to whether we wanted any more wine, water or to discuss whether we enjoyed the food etc.
The food was however still very good albeit small portions so that we needed a portion of frites and the only one bread roll offered to make up for it.
What a shame after such a promising start! Will not return again.

EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF DINING AT DE NIEUWE WINKEL. Prepare to be surprised and amazed by unusual flavours, the pureness of ingredients, food to make you laugh out loud or that you want to savour in silence - all served in our own unique style. Welcome.
OK, this is me; if I may pick something: steak is the name. So all this veggie stuff is beyond my radar. Until I dined here. What a pleasant surprise. The texture, the small and hidden surprises, the opulent taste, the variety, too good to be true. We had the Groenten 52 (yes 52 euro's) and that gives you a 5 course dinner. You can have matching non alcoholic juices if you desire. The waiters are very courteous, likable, and know their stuff. Ever had pine needles for desert? Guess not, well at the Nieuwe Winkel it's what you get. Go there before Michelin finds out.

Cafeteria Rikken in Breedeweg-Groesbeek has an extensive choice of french fries, Dutch snacks, Dutch menus, burgers, salads, breads, drinks and ice creams.

Although it is only a stone's throw away from our home, we had never been to Vesters. We went for dinner the two of us because de children were away. We did not regret it. The food was delicious, the service personal and friendly. We particularly enjoyed choosing our own cheeses for the cheese platter at the end of our meal. An explanation of the origin and taste of every cheese was given to us personally by the owner. Vesters is not cheap, but worth every penny.
