Well-known as the perfect venue for a stylish evening out, we offer guests live entertainment from our dance floor alongside superb dinner courses. Renowned for our fresh seafood and Chalmar steak, our menu comprises of classic dishes with a subtle Portuguese flair. Including a spacious cigar lounge and private dining room our venue is versatile as well as suitable for private functions.
What a delight to find a restaurant where service, food and ambiance combine to make a wonderful mix. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Our waiter's recommendations were spot on. The food flavours were sublime and the portion sizes surprisingly large. I was on crutches and the management saw me "walking" toward the restrooms, only to move ahead of me to open doors and assist. in a time were service excellence has become a rarity, Pigalle stands out for me as a cut above. Have been singing there praises to many and will definitely be back!

Addis in Cape! Voted best African Eatery in Cape Town, an authentic Ethiopian restaurant that caters for Non-vegetarian, Vegan and Vegetarian clients. We provide a unique communal dining experience you, your family and friends will remember. From traditional hand-wash ceremonies to our traditional Ethiopian coffee we promise a memorable experience. Ethiopian cuisine is famous for its rich aromas and generous use of herbs and spices. The country was historically situated on trading routes that included the trade of many exotic spices; this history has had a tremendous influence on the taste of Ethiopian food as we know it. Today most of the herbs and spices are blended and prepared in the home with great love and attention, as are those used in Addis in Cape. The dishes that you taste here are unique to Ethiopia and we are proud as a restaurant to share them with you.

In the last 3 weeks we have visited Fork 5 times. As locals we have tried many places that serve tapas and this is definitely one of the best. The only way to describe the tapas is DELICIOUS and they are consistently that way. We love the Raclette fondue, the Fig rocket tomatoe and feta salad and the pan seared ostrich fillet on sweet potato amongst many others. The restaurant is a piece of fun sophistication in Vibey Long street with great service and decent wines. Not to be missed!

Dinner on a Monday evening and the place the buzzing. Casual atmosphere with friendly professional service made for a comfortable experience. We ate prawns, oysters and mussels to start - the prawns were outstanding. Blue nose for main course with al dente stir fry veg were incredibly delicious. Cheesecake to finish was also surprisingly good. Will remember this place for a long time to come. Highly recommmended.

Locally sourced and seasonal menu
The staff and management were friendly and accommodating. Choices were limited as lunch was almost over. Perhaps some generic menu options would alleviate this. But I do feel that R185 for pork belly swimming in a broth isn't really good value. The coriander was a...MoreOnes tries ones best to read walk-ins but gauranteed this time of year a spur customer falls thru the cracks

Great, friendly service, this no-reservation joint offers delicious tapas and an excellent assortment of wine. The environment is pretty decent although not a standout. The fine folks that work here compensate and the ambiance is lively, animated, and intimate. The food is exceptionally good, and I deferred to the kitchen to make my tapas choices for me which included a starter (excellent clams) followed by 4 tapas. My only constructive criticism would be on the assortment of choices--each dish being richer than the last. There was lack of balance (for me) between lightness which made it difficult to complete each tapas although this experience might differ when sharing between two people, which is more commonplace I'm sure. Richness aside, I also thought a few of the dishes were overly salty. Overall, definitely a worthwhile visit and another memorable Cape Town food experience.

Definitely NOT the product of conventional choc manufacture. A Bunny Chow... banana bread stuffed with ice cream and home made pure chocolate and nuts. With a Coconut drink with dark chocolate soaked dates and ice... Sounds good? Well it absolutely is! Just 100 m from the pastel coloured houses of Bo-Kaap in central Cape Town.

Visited here early afternoon as curious to taste the food, warm welcome by young lady who recommended the vegetarian platter with a meat addition, all served with the Ethiopian pancake called Injera, iced tea and a beer to drink. The flavours were delicious so tasty, you use the Injera to scoop up the main food, there is no cutlery. The place is like sitting in a jungle with music and bird calling. A very informative guy explained about some of the items around the place. You sit in booths with rugs, cushions etc like a Bedouin tent very cosy, the only suggestion is if you visit in the day, the red bus pick up stop is right outside and can be a bit noisy , choose seats further inside. Also you could think it was an African gift shop as the front is covered with items to buy and shrubs, but there is a sign hanging. Very enjoyable experience for the taste buds, go take a look.
