This is probably the best place we ate during our 17 day holiday in Belarus. The food is hearty, tasty and 100% Belarusian! My draniki with pork was delicious and I washed it down with delicious local ale.
The menu is huge and there is an English version too.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The setting is of all things from the time of the USSR. There is an extensive menu (available in English) and the service and food are of a very good standard. If in Gomel, you can't not eat here!

In Cyrillic: Чисто Пивной Ресторанчик
Chisto Pivnoi Restoranchik means "Just Beer Restaurant", and is part of a strange collection of businesses including a car wash and gym in the suburbs of Gomel. Don't let the surroundings deceive you, Chisto Pivnoi Restoranchik is one of the best places in Gomel, and well worth the trek out of the city.
Inside the restaurant is decorated with dark, old wood tables and furniture. There is lots of space and a pleasant atmosphere. There is a good selection of beer and delicious American and Belarussian dishes on the menu. Prices are very reasonable.
One of the best restaurants in Gomel!

If you don't have time to wait for meal to be prepared then this is right place to go. This is kind of local fast-food restaurant with wide range of food choice. First go along the bar-table to check out all options available. There is no names in English - so you will need to try to guess :) It is quit good place for lunch for reasonable price. Note: smoking is allowed inside but there is special green non-smoking room.

The foods was fantastic, i really enjoyed the chicken nachos and the wings. this has a great charm of Americana and even though the place is filled with russian, this bar would not be out of place in the US. A few of the staff speak english but if they dont then they make every effort to help you out. There is liveliness to this place but do not go downstairs because when i went, it seemed to be dead. Stay upstairs as it feels like a nice traditional walk up bar. The decor is again Americana and the place is clean, especially the toilets which is always a hit an miss for bars. The owner definitely deserves credit for imaging Americana in gomel and you definitely would not feel out of place in his vision.

Expensive by general Belarusian standards, as has already been commented by others, but compares very favourably on cost with the restaurant at the Zamkovyj Park-Hotel, where we had eaten the previous evening.
We had looked at the menu earlier in the day and had made a reservation for the evening, though in the event the restaurant was not full until we were almost finished our meal.
The restaurant has outside Seating, though as it is on one of the city's principal streets, there is a lot of traffic. Inside, the Seating is on two levels (we were seated in the Mezzanine level). Staff were friendly, welcoming, and efficient and, refreshingly, knowledgeable about the menu, which offers an excellent choice.
After a long period of dithering over the choices, I opted for an oriental-style warm beef salad, which was extremely good.
My wife ordered the rib-eye steak (which would have been my first choice had I not been unsure as to the likely quality). I need not have been concerned - when it arrived, the (Argentinian beef) steak was exquisitely cooked and presented. This may sound a little "over the top", but without doubt it was the best beef I have tasted in Central and Eastern Europe, and would not have been bettered in many top London establishments.
The chef's "surprise" dessert was a taste-bud delight.
Full marks to all of the staff - from beginning to end, great service and a level of cooking which I found to be remarkable....a must for anyone in Gomel seeking the very best food, properly prepared.
One additional bonus mark - the table-waiting staff are in direct e-tablet communication with the kitchen, and keep the chefs advised as to the diners' progress with the previous course....

Fantastic view from this small part of small village in Paris. Food is real delicious. Place around its a garden with many different kind of greenery. If you will visit this place, for sure you stay there for whole day.

This place is absolutely amazing on every level - the food was great (the beef tenderloin were to die for), the drinks were good (Lidskoe) and I was super impressed with the location.
I loved it. Very well priced and I'll definitely dine there again next time I'm in Gomel.
Keep up the amazing work!
The beef tenderloin = 150000 BYR
