I was there with my family (2 adults, 2 small daughters). We ate a pizza, pasta and meet salad. Everything was really good and tasteful. The service was, unfortunately, very bad. They completely forgot about one of our dishes, they brought us wrong wine, they messed up 1st and 2nd plate and they left us waiting for quite a long time.

Marricriu La Trattoria is located in Riposto in the province of Catania on the premises that the end of 800 housed one of the most important factories of barrels of time. Today, the tables and chairs have taken the place of those barrels, and while in the air will smell the fragrance of the good traditional Sicilian cuisine, good wine continues to be the thread that allows guests to rediscover smells and tastes perhaps now forgotten and that were once in everyday life.
We ate in an internal Terrace ... Really cute ... And food was outstanding !! Service was also nice and welcoming

“OLD BARRELS”: a place where the tradition of yesterday becomes tribute and sophistication in the present. The restaurant has a warm and relaxing atmosphere in which the dishes of our land are proposed and interpreted with ever new creativity although maintaining their original uniqueness. Our project aims to convey the flavor of traditional Sicilian cuisine, the wines of Etna and our gastronomic culture which includes a wide choice of pizza (leavened and baked slowly into the wood oven). You will be welcomed in a relaxing environment and you will be pampered by our staff, in a landscape unique, situated on the slopes of Etna, and able to offer you glimpses of extraordinary beauty, where time seems to stand still. The large green open spaces surrounded by orange trees, a large indoor restaurant and the lounge pizzeria from which you can admire the restored ancient winery that has preserved the original structure of the "Old Barrels", once used for the production of wine and finally a small rustic room of 20 seats, ideal for candlelight dinners and / or business lunches or dinners, are just waiting to welcome you with the typical warmth of Sicilians and their homeland.
We ate lunch here whilst on a tour of Sicily. The food was fabulous, and just kept coming! We ate wonderful Sicilian specialities and were really impressed by the quality of the food. The staff were really nice and helpful, the wine was good and I would thoroughly recommend the restaurant for an authentic experience.

The Borgo dell'Etna restaurant seats on a unique location on the slopes of Mt Etna. Hiding through the citrus groves of the riviera, the restaurant is part of the XVI Century estate of the Etna Hotel and offers traditional Sicilian dishes, served in multi level rooms of the refrebished authentic sicilian winery.
We had lunch on Sunday.
They serve lunch only on weekends. Dinner everyday.
We had Lindsalad, Bruschetta as antipasti, Pasta al Ragu as primi, calamari as second & creme caramel as desert. With bottle of sparkling water, glass of wine, a beer and coffe we paid 67€.
Everything we had was perfect, tasteful.
Staff was very friendly. Atmosphere was nice and clean.
I strongly recommend this place.

If you drive through or stay in San Leonardello or Giarre you MUST have a granita at Blue Ice.
I am Sicilian and from this area and have had granita from many places in Sicily. No place has topped Blue Ice.
The owner Antonio cannot do more for his customers, is always happy to see us and always has a smile on his face.
For those who do not know what granita is: It is a typical Sicilian breakfast composing of Fruit or nut sorbet with a brioche...hard to describe but divine to eat
Coffee at Blue Ice is delicious as well and the white cream croissants are excellent
Grazie Antonio for being excellent
I always look forward to coming to have a granita year after year...

Travelling around Sicily we stumbled on this amazing place. It was full with locals and mouth watering delights. The Pistachio granita would have to be the best I have eaten anywhere in Italy. Topped with fresh cream and eaten with a brioche was a true Sicilian experience. All this for just 2.50 euros .... unbelievable!

Nice place for non-formal dining, perfect for couple or meet friend. Our quality and the freshness of ingredients are "the must" of our job to offer you the real taste of Italy. Have to try!
Hopped in for a takeaway pizza while heading down to the seaside on the Corso Italia. Taste of the Parmigiana was very good, bread a bit too crunchy. Decent variety and very popular with locals as well. The sit down area is available but constant passing of cars makes eating pizza here less attractive. With industrial scale forno a legna (wood-fire oven) the place lost a bit of charm, though.

We stayed in Riposto for 3 nights and already on the first night we found this wonderful place. It is situated on the main street of the town which goes to harbour from the railway crossing. Althow it is not a problem in Sicily to find pizzeria or a shop which sells cakes, pastries and bread, Il Pomodoro attracted us from the first minute with tasty smells, cleaniness and visible popularity. It was full of local people waiting their pizza to get ready.
Il Pomodoro offers many kinds of pizza of different sizes, pane condito (stuffed bread) and sicilian speciality - arancini (rice balls with different stuffing). Prices are more than reasonable. Your pizza will be cooked just for you in front of you ithin 10-20 minutes. You will see all the process, which looks like nice and amazing show. Your order will be packed to keep it warm. Tastes are different, but all we tried was delicious.
All people who are working in Il Pomodoro are young and nice, always smiling and helpful. They flying all around bakery and bake pizzas fast and very professional. Only one man is speaking English, but he is very helpful and others always call him even if he is working inside of bakery.
Another important thing are working hours (18:00-22.30). It is very handy if you want to have a snack after 8 PM but don't want to go to restaurant. All supermarkets and minimarkets are closed at 20.00. But in Il Pomodoro during all working time you can buy soft drinks and beer with prices almost the same as supermarket (0,66 l of beer - 2 eur, in supermarket - 1,5 eur).
I wish the owners of this place to keep the hight quality of taste and service for indefinite long time. And to all visitors of Riposto who wish to taste Sicily, I reccommend to do it in Il Pomodoro.

Having read the reviews, we made a point of visiting this restaurant. Only open lunchtime, and only serving fresh fish. Owner very keen to satisfy, offering inspection of the dishes available rather than a menu. A very colourful chatty character, but an excellent chef. Just a pity hr doesn't open during the evening. Highly recommended.
