Menu offers a good range of choices. Cod was fairly fresh, reasonable considering location away from the sea. Service was good. Nice decor, pleasant atmosphere. Would go again.

We are a comfortable restaurant who strive to provide hearty home style meals with great service at reasonable prices. We serve all day breakfast. Our coffee is made from high quality beans which are fresh ground just before we brew each pot.
My husband and I ate here while in Gander on business. We each had the scallops, fries and vegetables. The restaurant offers prepared from scratch meals at a great price. We will definitely be back. Don't let the outdated mall location deter you it really is worth visiting for service, price and quality of food.

Typical Big Stop food. Gravy on everything unless you STRESS not to include it. Good breakfast. Generally slow service.

Stopped into Jungle Jim's for dinner tonight. We have seen Jungle Jim's while travelling through Newfoundland. It was an average meal with average pub grub. The food arrived quickly and it was hot! Our waitress never checked back to see if everything was ok. We probably won't go to another one!

We were recommended to go here by a colleague - it was a great suggestion.
The place was quiet when we were there but service was friendly. Food was great and home cooked. Came out looking fresh and tasty. We had fish and chips and some chicken as well, all of it yummy.
Great spot for a meal - hidden away in a strip mall and fairly nondescript unless you are looking for it..

We ordered pizza from Louige's when moving into our house for both us and the moving crew. It was alright but nothing memorable and just a bit salty. I did find it expensive though for a l5" pizza. We ordered three pizzas; a pepperon($15.75), vegetarian($19.75) and an all meat ($21.75)

It's been many years since we ate Mary Brown's. We stopped in while on a business trip . The Big Mary sandwiches were nice along with the taters. We would eat here again although we prefer local restaurants over chains

They also offer international food cuisine on the first Friday and Saturday of each month.
I had the stuffed chicken breasts with vegetables and garlic mashed potato. The meal was delicious and I would order again. The garlic bread hasn't changed over the years and is still the absolute best. I would love for Sinbads to stop wrapping baked potato in foil. I like to eat the skins but baked in foil makes them soggy and awful tasting. According to our server, I could not order without.
We had an awesome server. Don't recall her name but she was great, friendly, informative on menu and attentive.

I was in Gander on business and met up with some old friends for lunch. My friends from Gander recommended this restaurant, it didn't disappoint. I had seafood chowder and fish cakes. Both were delicious. I would eat here againSo glad to hear that you enjoyed your meal at The Albatross and it's so nice to hear that we get recommended by the locals. I hope the rest of your time in Gander was enjoyable and we look foward to your next visit.
