Providing a respite to travelers trekking the north of Botswana, Gaborone is a young metropolis that experienced most of its boom with the discovery of diamonds in the 1970s. Its downtown is dominated by modern buildings and services, from glittering hotels to casinos. The Main Mall boasts a plethora of shops, while the surrounding area hosts monuments and government buildings. Monkeys and birds call out from the wetlands of Gaborone Game Reserve, and Kgale Hill delights with panoramic views.

A unique dining experience in Gaborone, centrally located in the heart of the city in a quiet residential neighborhood. Caravela offers three distinct dining areas to choose from - a gorgeous outdoor garden to enjoy summertime lunch and quiet evening dinners, a bar dining area with a casual ambiance and warm fire in the winter months and an inside, air-conditioned dining area for those business meals or special occasions. Portuguese cuisine is served with seafood being the house specialty. The menu is varied with choices of beef, pork, chicken, lamb and vegetarian offerings. Main entree prices begin at P69. All food is prepared fresh on site and may be customized to your individual tastes and diet. Large groups can be accommodated with quick service for those needing to return to the office. Take away food may be ordered as well as platters for office meetings. Friendly service in a comfortable atmosphere.

One of my favourite treats while in Gaborone, Botswana, was to walk around the Sanitas Nursery while my food was being prepared at the Sanitas Restaurant. The food is excellent, service prompt and friendly and best of all, they have a wide range of gluten-free dishes, including delicious pizza.

The "Bush in the HEART of Gaborone City" is the perfect venue for hungry, thirsty, fun loving people. Botswana's finest beef steaks, Pizza (Gaborone's Best), and wide a la carte menu. Coldest beers, wide selection of SA's finest wines, and soon to be exciting cocktails. Live bands, themed disco parties, Quiz nights, Monthly Farmers Market, Traditional Roast Sundays, Best Venue for Sporting Events. If you haven't visited B&B you haven't visited Gabs!!!!
A business colleague took me to dinner here my second night in Botswana, and I absolutely loved it. I had eaten a steak the previous night, and I really did not want another steak. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger instead of a steak, and it might have been the best cheeseburger I have ever eaten. The beef was exceptional. The service was good, and the wait staff was attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Gaborone.

A large group of us visited. We asked for a change of tables and were accommodated straight away. The waiters were attentive.
Power was out when we visited, so the menu was limited - but still there was an excellent choice and the quality was really good.
There was a bar in the corner, and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
A play area for children was next to the outdoor tables.

I have been going to Chutney for years and have never been disappointed. At first appearance you may feel the place is a bit rough and ready. Your food is served on steel plates and not fancy cutlery. BUT: Food like you have never eaten before, there is a large variety of dishes to suit all pallets with properly cooked and served naan breads. Yes, sometimes you can have a bit of a wait if there is a run of dosa orders but who cares. The prices put you in a happy place and you go home a satisfied person.

We came here on a Saturday evening and had a fantastic experience.
We ordered one Paneer Methi Malai (72.00BWP), one Paneer Mattar Bhurji (72.00BWP), one steamed jeera rice (33.00BWP), one potato kulcha (40.00BWP), and one mango lassi (35.00BWP).
Food was absolutely delicious and perfectly spiced.
Service was friendly and attentive.
Ambiance could improve: perhaps some Indian music and more Indian decor (?)
Overall, highly recommended.

The restaurant is an outdoorsy type of indoor restaurant and provides a nice casual environment. The food is good and service highly satisfactory. We were there as group and everyone ordered a different dish, which a lots of us shared with others at the table. Meat dishes were a hit and a variety of drinks were available. This venue serves well for a single diner, or small to large groups. Worth visiting

The place is cheap for an average person who doesn't like to spend much on food. Its got separate menu for breakfast and lunch which is great because it gives one a variety of choice on what to eat in the morning.

This is a 'must' for all meat eaters. Botswanan beef is the best and this restaurant gives it an authentic South American flavour. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food simply delicious. Try a steak - you won't be disappointed.
