We were in Figeac on a Sunday and most restaurants were closed. This restaurant has a lovely outdoor garden area across the road. The staff were friendly and obliging. The food however was not acceptable for a restaurant.
Our meal arrived almost immediately after we ordered. This was obviously because our canard confit and potatoes had been reheated and were barely warm. Many of the other diners were enjoying what looked like appetising freshly made pizza.
In retrospect I wish we had sent our meal back to the kitchen and asked for a pizza instead.

We were treated to our wedding dinner at this restaurant by friends. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Inexperienced service by young waiter, irritating interruptions all the time and as for the food... My husband loved his pigeon starter, my scallops were ok and the main courses were laughable. To serve one lattice crisp as a potato accompaniment to two tiny lamb chops with a spoonful of parsley puree with one tiny carrot cut in two is not my idea of haute cuisine. The dessert was two packet biscuits with squirty cream in the middle and one strawberry sliced into five. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as fine dining, more like fine rip off.

Having been frequent visitors to this restaurant during its previous ownership we were interested in seeing the changes since it had been closed and renovated (or so it said on the board outside whilst it was closed).
We could not see any physical changes at all except perhaps that it had been cleaned and freshened. The layout is still the same with plenty of room between tables so that you are not subjected to other people's conversations, and it is still light and airy and very welcoming.
The meal itself was, we felt, a little overpriced and the wine very much so. I had the pumpkin soup to start which was very tasty (if a little too thick for my taste) and was served with a crisp of parmesan, and my husband had the regional salad which was very good and included foie gras. I had the fish and my husband had the onglet of beef. The fish was excellent - two reasonable sized pieces served in a beautiful sauce, however it was served with rice and a jacket potato. It would have been better with one or the other and some veg. On the other hand my husbands beef, which he said was tasty and lean, was served with a jacket potato and fresh mixed veg. The third course is either cheese or desserts and we chose the desserts. I had the tiramisu. I had not read the menu properly and so was surprised to be given a lemon cream dessert. (The menu had said tiramisu citron). Although it was good it was not what I expected and I was disappointed not to have had a coffee flavoured dessert however that was entirely my fault and had I wanted a lemon dessert I would have been pleased with what I got. My husband chose the apple tart which was excellent and was served with both a caramel sauce and ice cream.
We had two half bottles of wine, one red and one white and one coffee and the bill was just under 80 euros which we thought was rather high for a lunchtime meal however the service and the quality were both of a very high standard but pound for pound I think we could have done better elsewhere.

At the crossroads of Auvergne , Rouergue and Quercy has developed one of the fastest growing cities in the medieval noon. Come discover a Refined traditional cuisine and terroir. A large market of flavors in the heart of the Lot , you wait! A 1930's style room, interior revisited as the ship Le Normandie . He was the symbol of France , the height of luxury and refinement. Groups welcome (seminars, sports teams , ...) Up to 100 people A veranda can be used in summer.
Pleasant food with a cheerful staff. The service was quite slow and the offered menu was limited. One of the more elegant of the dining rooms in which we ate on our trip. Very European of the 50's and 60's.

Dont be put off by its small-ness or popularity - if they can, they will squeeze you into their 10sqm and feed you a meal you won't forget. Its right opposite the museum. Lunch was very simple: three choices of starter, main, and dessert. For once, it wasn't all meat: I had cheese on toast (nice local Rocamadour, no less), followed by a perfectly pan-fried fillet of fish, seabass, I think, then the cheese platter (with more Rocamadour). One of our party had the pork, which he said was excellent, sides are all the same, but perfectly cooked - I discovered that even beetroot can taste wonderful. For about 17 or 18 EURO for three courses, rarely have I dined any better.

Recommended by our host. Ate outside in the open market hall and a little breezy which cooled our food rather quickly. Simple fayre - steak and chips, and morrocan-style chicken kebab. Chicken fine but steak was a little tough. Ok, certainly not top notch though.

We came here as Tripadvisor records it as No1. The service was good and so was the food. The Pancakes are a novelty but so what for buckwheat pancakes. Overall if you like these go ahead. However there are so many better places in Figeac I would avoid it.

This is basically a shop selling quality local produce supplied by the smaller suppliers from the Lot and Quercy area. They also run a small restaurant on the same premises with a charming Terrace serving (amongst other dishes) some of the very same delicacies you can buy in the shop...!!
How good is that..? Try it before you buy it..!!
Although it is located in a prime tourist spot, with a lot of passing trade (just opposite Figeac's Tourism Office), it serves much much better food than most of the other restaurants nearby which are banking on their location and remain just plain basic "Tourists Traps": i.e. poor quality fast food at exorbitant prices... We have made many visits to Figeac over the last few years and this is definitelyour favourite stop for lunch and/or dinner.

La Strada in Figeac (46) is open every day for lunch and dinner. With its large selection of pizzas, Italian and local products, La Strada assure you a good time! The restaurant is open for all types of occasions.
We dropped by for dinner at this family-run pizzeria with outdoor Seating on rue Gambetta. Realising we are vegetarians, they were happy to add/remove ingredients from the pizzas on offer and improvise to suit our dietary preference and taste. Pizzas were served hot and fresh, and it was an enjoyable evening dining on the main thoroughfare of this charming little city.
