Ate here last night on a very rainy, miserable January night and was made to feel welcome and comfortable. This Italian cuisine has a antipasti bar in winter and salad bar in summer and menus in English! Both the entre shrimp scampi salad and shrimp tagliatelle were fresh and filling. Would recommend to anyone visiting Emden looking for modestly priced fresh Italian cooking!

Die Nr1 zieht um :)
An interesting old boat. We were greeted like old friends when we dropped in here by coincidence. Apparently it changed hands recently. The menu is short but offers something for everyone and I definitely ate the best "Bratkartoffeln", fried potatoes, here that I found in the whole of Lower Saxony. Try the regional specialties and you won't be disappointed.

A place like this was missing in Emden: trendy and chic mixing old local recipes with international infused creations. Price was higher than it should for quality and location. The place was half full and we still waited 30 minutes for the entrees. However, we would repeat and were not deceived. This is one of the nicer places in Emden these days.

We had a great meal here. The salad bar and homemade dressing was really good. I loved the fish that I was served with the housewife potatoes, which I discovered are on most German menus. It was right in the city center and had a nice view of the Harbor outside.

You should choose Rialto if you are interested in Emdens best ice-cream. Take the opportunity to coose a "not standard" ice-cream variation like "just choclate" or similar. You won't be sorry.

Found staff very odd , were offered a table on the middle in front of the door , as it was 1.30 pm and about a third full I asked if we could sit at the back but was given an abrupt "NO"
The waiter then stood over us immediately waiting for our order .
"Can I get an apple juice ? " - "NO"
Later My partner was halfway through ordering a drink when the waitress abandoned us to greet customers walking in and took them to their table. After eating Waiter again stood over us for the money - no bill just asked for the amount then gave us the bill once paid.
Food is good and is good value , service could be seen as entertaining I suppose

First let me say the Food was nothing short of Excellent! We made a reservation for 9 people at 6:30 PM… we were seated promptly and cocktails and appetizers came quickly… The Restaurant gave us our own room by the front door which prompted us welcoming all the other patrons that were coming and going… The dinner service was slow and plates came out of the kitchen at different times….
PROS: FOOD IS EXCELLENT - KUDOS TO THE CHEF
CONS: ONLY ONE SERVER PROVIDED FOR A TABLE OF 9
3 HOUR DINNER SERVICE - TOO LONG
HAD TO CHASE THE SERVER FOR OUR CHECK
FOOD WAS DELIVERED AT DIFFERENT TIMES
