Lovely place right on the water front. Had scallops to start, they were perfect. Had fillet mignon and half lobster as a main. The steak was perfect, the lobster a little on the small side. All with a lovely merlot, and an excellent dessert. Not a budget restaurant, not overpriced either. A great atmosphere, excellent service, and really good food. Highly recommend!!

Enjoy superb Italian cuisine in our stylish Old World setting. Large selection of fresh seafood, pasta, veal, steak, lamb and duck dishes. 2 Separate dining rooms available for private parties up to 65, extensive wine cellar. Proudly serving you for over 30 years!
This is a real five star restaurant —especially for NS. Service, ambiance and amazing meals. My favourite is the ravioli with lobster, and the calamari is to die for!
One of few places in Halifax where they either know enough, or care enough to actually decant your $150 bottle of wine.

Welcome to our family restaurant! We are now open for the season! With the wonderful support from our community and guests from away, we are entering our 22nd year of service. My husband is known for his delicious, thin battered, and crispy English style deep fried haddock, homemade french fries, coleslaw and tartar sause. We also serve fresh, delicious Digby scallops and clams! Our Open hours are Monday to Friday 4 pm to 8 pm. Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 8pm. WELCOME! We look forward to meeting you!
We stumbled onto this restaurant by chance when we were driving home from camping and starving, saw a sign for fish and chips and decided to give it a try. Within seconds we were welcomed by the owners (who are the cook and server by the way) and were just made to feel so at home!
Known for their FRESH fish and chips that's exactly what we ordered and it was amazing, the batter on the fish was incredibly light and flaky. Portions were large and price was great.
They've been in business for many years and the pride this couple has for their restaurant is amazing. I even had a conversation with the cook about his recent potato order.
You need to stop here! Just watch their hours, on weekdays they only open at 4 (understandable considering they manage and run it themselves) but on weekends they're pretty much open all day!

Cabin Coffe is a small place but serves great coffee. Breakfast included muffins, pastries, and egg dishes. Delicious!

The name seemed familiar but I'm not sure that I've ever been here before; I don't get to Halifax often. I chose it because I love Italian, but I ended up choosing the unusual option of rack of lamb with blueberry compote. I love rack of lamb and the mix with blueberries seemed so unusual that I couldn't resist. It was delicious. I started with their version of caesar salad which was also quite good. I normally don't like bacon with my caesar salad because it tends to overpower everything, but with this mix it worked quite well.
Overall, a delicious meal. I want to come back to sample the more traditional Italian dishes. I'd intended to have veal scallopini and some pasta, but couldn't resist the lamb rack with blueberries! Sometimes the unusual options are irresistible.

Elements on Hollis provides some of the best cuisine in Halifax. Accompanying the amazing food at Elements on Hollis, the Halifax restaurant offers Nova Scotia wines from eight wineries, and beer from two Nova Scotian Distilleries and Breweries. Elements on Hollis has a delicious brunch buffet every Sunday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Wow!! This is Halifax' best brunch! Food was fresh, well presented, and service was first class - thank you Courtney. Butter chicken, roast beef, seafood chowder, sushi, baked salmon, smoked salmon, desserts and much much more! Well worth the price, definitely will be back.

Group of eight golfing friends went to Gio restaurant last night. The restaurant is part of the Prince George Hotel. The food was delicious especially the veal shank. Besides the beautiful restaurant and food the evening was made by our hostess and server Terri. She was so attentive to all our needs. Even stood on a chair to take a group photo!! Will definitely go back!
