Dietikon is the fifth biggest city of the canton of Zürich in Switzerland, after Zürich, Winterthur, Uster and Dübendorf. It is the capital of the same-named district of Dietikon and part of the Zürich metropolitan area.

We headed out to Schlieren based on some other web site's recommendation. We were a little reluctant at first as the 70s decor isn't very inviting. However, the great Austrian food easily makes up for it. The Wienerschnitzel is somewhat pricey, but given the excellent quality of the Schnitzel plus the big salad which is included in the price and served as the first course it's absolutely worth it. The Palatschinken (pancakes) I had for dessert were totally delicious as well.
I only wish the atmosphere and decor could match the great food - I'd hand out five points in heartbeat!

I have joined the Heimat for several times over the last years and I can say that there are not many restaurants which can compete with this high quality swiss kitchen at are fair price and an easy service. The Heimat is great for couples, families, senior citizens as well as for tourists (tip for tourists - go there - it is an authentic swiss restaurant as the guests are as well and they are there to just indulge themself. The restaurant is so pure because of the fact it is located in Dietikon which is not on the typical tourist pathway). Enjoy!

It has been years since we had a meal at the Linden, but we were glad to retry it last week. We were welcomed by kind and professional staff. Our main course (we only had one course) was on the table 20 minutes after we arrived. The dishes were well cooked and very tasty.
We ate upstairs, outside on the balcony. Although this is next to a pretty busy intersection, the noise did not disturb our lovely meal.
Definitely going back for more.

The owners are from the balcan region, especially the young waiter is extremely kind and applied, a role model of a new working and integrated generation, thumps up!
Then there's a female waitress (probably a family member of the owners) which doesn't really have a sense of humor, she reminds me a bit of government employee in a communist country.
The food is good, honest stuff for the price and there's some exotic meat like zebra, give it a try!
The hot-stone is very cool, but also stuff from the grill can be eaten with no concerns, I had the US-Ribeye...
An additional tip is the dessert, they chef has talented hand to do the desserts, especially ice creams and ice-coffees.
I was there on a saturday evening and it was quite empty, in my opinion it's not justified, you should definitely give it a try...

In the typical italian and familiar atmosphere of Dietikon's Pizzeria Ristorante Molino we will spoil you any time of day with the classic dishes of the mediterranean kitchen: oven-baked pizzas, home-made pasta dishes, fresh salads as well as meat and fish specialities, along with a great choice of vintage wines from the mediterranean South. Carefully selected coffee specialities and sweet temptations successfully rounds up any visit. For our younger guests we offer special children's menus.
We had a take away once from this restaurant and this is the first time we sat and eat there itself. The interior of this restaurant was very beautiful with nice wall paintings. Eventhough the food was very good and filling, the service I felt slow, it took around 45 mins to serve 5 people. The restaurant was not that filled up either at the time we went. Price came up to 30 CHF per person incl. one drink (which is expensive I think compared to other Pizzerias in Zürich). Overall good once in a while.
Another thing I noticed, the pizzas we had in the restaurant was much much better than the ones we had it for take-away.

Nice and warm place, we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and we were served by a super nice and gentle young chap. We had a nice corner where our dog got water before we got our drinks ;) Good food, honest portions, the cordon...MoreThank you DMLDML for the lovely feedback! Honest portions are important for us, so you start next time maybe wit the dessert! Just joking...:) Thank you again and we are looking forward to welcome you again.

The only one authentic JAPANESE KAISEKI Gourmet Restaurant in Switzerland with in Japan registered professional Kaiseki cooks from Japan. The Kaiseki Menues will be served in the real Japanese ZASHIKIs or in the Séparées (KOAGARI-ZASHIKI) as it should be. You will be in Japan in the middle of Europe. No Lunch. Open only for the dinner time.
My wife and I, both japanophiles, decided to celebrate our first wedding anniversary here. After Reading numerous very positive reviews on trip advisor, we went with high expectations, which were nowhere close to be met. We dined at the a la carte restaurant and both had the tasting menu.
In summary:
Food: Satisfactory but not very creative, produce seemed partly not to be very fresh (sea urchin and toro seemed off). Desert was a total joke
Service: Not acceptable. We arrived, instead of a hello we were bluntly asked if we have a reservation and then showed to our table. Throughout the meal, service was inattentive, slow (except when the dishes arrived - we were literally rushed through the meal) and it seemed to us as if we were not welcome at all.
Ambiance: not authentic, site looks run down (walls chipped, dirt around ventilation exits)
Price: we had two tasting menus, two bottles of water, three beers and two glasses of veuve cliquecot (half filled) for almost 400 CHF. We felt ripped off to be honest
Summary - in the end, maybe we were there on the wrong day or just unlucky. Nevertheless, we won't return and can not recommend the place unfortunately.

Being in Schlieren for business I have been here for a couple of times. Definitely recommend it for dinner. Meat choice is wide enough to satisfy everibody's tastes. Homemade sauces are great. The girls are kind and prices are within zurich area average.

We went for the graduation dinner of my niece and were seated in the very modern tulip room: impressive! The food was excellent, especially the traditional roesti with veal zurichoise! Service was attentive and courteous ... A great evening! Yes I'd love to go back!
