Have visited here on many occasions and have had the 7 course tasting menu four times with different friends and family and have not been disappointed yet. The flavours are spiced with an intricate deliciousness of heat and flavour and everyone who has accompanied us have been impressed

At the Hart we believe in great food, great wine and great company. We aim to provide the best locally sourced food, combined with an exciting variety of drinks to match. We place ourselves at the centre of local village life and make sure everyone receives a warm welcome. In warm weather we have a lovely terraced area to the rear, including a beautifully cosy covered wooden Seating area. With comfortable cushions and a scandinavian feel. Inside the pub we have a modern bar area, child and dog friendly, where you can relax and enjoy good conversation. When you're ready to eat you can move to our inviting restaurant, which includes an interesting 'Well table' - can you see to the bottom?
Pre-booked Christmas lunch. A really good time, with over-generous portions of the traditional fare. Good friendly service, without being over the top, and no pressure to "get through the meal" at any time, in fact at one stage we were asked if we wanted a pause. great that background music where we were was so low it didn't interfere with good conversations. Inevitably higher cost, as (I hope) that covers the additional staff costs for working that day, but worth it. The food itself was average but presented well.

My wife and I paid just £28.95 groupon for a two course meal each at The Pack Horse last night. We had Crispy Peking Duck Croquettes and Slow-cooked BBQ Pork Belly to start, then Pan-seared Grass-fed Calves Liver and A lovely salmon dish and potatoes on the side. The food was delicious with very generous portions, simply could not fault it. In addition the staff we friendly and to top it all the house red is an Alto Chillian Merlot. Heaven, cant wait to go back.

Popped in here for a Sunday roast and was very pleasantly surprised.
I had the roast lamb and my wife had the beef with all the trimmings, both were flavoursome and cooked to perfection.
The kids 2 and 4 had burger and scampi and there were no complaints. Despite Mum and dad nicking the delicious chips.
Would highly recommend for food and local welcoming atmosphere.

We have been regulars here for some years now and have always enjoyed the Sunday buffet so when we were invited to a meal here to celebrate the new name and management we jumped at the chance.
We had a mixed starter and main and the food was amazing! It was fresh authentic food and the waiters clearly cared about what we thought.
The restaurant has been refitted and looks really good, the menu has been updated and some lovely dishes added.
We would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and we will be back very soon!
