Děčín (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɟɛtʃiːn]; German: Tetschen, 1942–45: Tetschen–Bodenbach) is a town in the Ústí nad Labem Region in the north of the Czech Republic. It is the largest town and administrative seat of the Děčín District. From 1938 to 1945 it was one of the municipalities in Sudetenland, then controlled by Nazi Germany.
Things to do in Decin

We went here with friends from Decin and were very happy with the decision. The tomato soup was homemade and spicy, the gnocchi quatro formaggio actually had pieces of cheese in it which made it rich and tasty and the beer( at £1 a litre) was flavorful. The whole meal,( starter, main course and two beers) cost about £6.50 a head. AND they were lovely!

Had a great few meals here recently. Lots of good traditional Czech food and drink at good prices. Good childrens play area too, especially liked the old vehicles. Option to eat inside or outside and was busy everytime we visited.

During our walk in town, we ate in the Ceske Koruna Restaurant. My wife had a well-prepared pork-filet, I had a nice trout. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious. The local dessert was also excellent. We drank Bohemian Sect to this meal and the diner was concluded with coffee. This whole luxury diner costed less than 35 Euro. Add to this the friendly service and the nice surroundings of a scenic town, we can highly recommend this place.

This restaurant is set beautifully on a high peak overlooking Decin Castle and the Labe River. It is a winding drive to get up here but it sure beats walking. The building is designed like a small castle.
We chose a corner table inside to take in the view as it was a hot day. The waitress noticed a few ants on the table and a few more came out form under the salt and pepper shakers. All three of us were a bit unimpressed. She gave us another table and thoroughly cleaned that one by spraying plenty of bug spray. Not conducive to a meal.
The menus were only in German. We bypassed entrée and had mains instead. We had gnocchi with chicken and mushroom which was solid but one dimensional and pork medallions with potato and sundried tomatoes which was good. The prices reflected the modest quality.

Moje nejoblibenejsi restaurace v Decine pres poledne.

I went there with my family which means six adults and one baby. I had gordon blue. They brought it raw when I ask If they can do something they just put it back on the pan and the rest chips and veggie they put to microwave to heat it up again. Not possible to eat! So I let it. My husband supossed to have mexican starter, which in their kitchen means salty pancake.
I would recommend to go somewhere else because in the final we even had to pay for this...
Shame on you!

Had a lovely meal here, little bit out of the way but worth it. Very good value, I had the mozzarella bacon and pesto starter, NY steak for main and my wife had a pasta. All very tasty

This is our first ever tripadvisor review, we decided to write it after an amazing surprise and an excellent exprience we had:
While driving to the city center to look for a place to have dinner, we came across Restaurace u Přístavu Děčín.
The restaurant is completly non-smoking and they take credit cards, so we decided to stay. It was a great decision!!!!
The owner was a great host, the food was excellent (the best we had on our entire trip). The personal touch and attention to details was impressive. Everything we tried was super tasty.
If you are in the area you must go there, we know that we will.

We found this place by accident and we were very happy with this discovery, because we were served probably the best food in the Usti nad Labem and Decin areas. The food was fresh, really tasty and much, much healthier and lighter than in all those typical Czech restaurants. I had grilled trout with grilled vegetables, one of my friends chose a meat dish, the other one vegetarian pasta, and we were all satisfied. They also have a pretty big selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks (including good wine and cider) and some tables outside when the weather is good. I definitely recommend this place.
