I went to visit my father in Ciudad Bolivar for his birthday. I feel myself a "guayanes" but I've been living out of Guayana for the last 30 years in different countries. Trying to decide where to take him for his birthday I took a look at tripdavisor and I don't regret. It was pointed as the best restaurant in town and after being there I'm sure it was but also I'm sure it is comparable with high end restaurants in big capitals. They offer us a gourmet sampling menu and we immediately took it due my father predilection for trying different things. It was great in terms of service, in terms of high quality food but for me more in terms of respect for local ingredients, flavors and dishes: they work mostly with Orinoco's river fishes, local ingredients and that gives you a sense of their respect for our land Guayana. I feel more than compeled to recommend this restaurant to anyone who visit Ciudad Bolivar disregarding if they are for the U.S., Europe, Asia or Africa...it will really impress you and your guests. I was extremely impressed by everything from the menu but the "platain bunuelo", the "lalao" torteline, the chicken supreme, the "crocante morocoto" and the icecream made out of sarrapia and accompany by a "poncigue" liquor, were my favorites. My father had recently a severe spine injury and he can not climb steps easily and they have steps to reach the second floor where the main dinning area is so be prepared if you are planning to visit with friends or relatives with mobility disabilities. They where -anyway- very eager to offer us to be served in a secondary area they have in the first floor, not as fancy and the upper one but we didn't care due the quality of the service and food.

We visited this steakhouse several times. Steaks grilled on charcoal in front of you was always good and tasty. Even the Parrilla menu list is large, during our dinners they offered only rump steak and chicken. Domestic and Chilean wines are available, as well as domestic beer. Staff is friendly.
