The Restaurant Veltliner Weinstuben zum Stern or Bündner Stuben ist with ist over 330 years of Age the historic Restaurant in chur. Our awardwinning Chef celebrates a regional, seasonal cuisine, a touch of Gourmet but yet comfortable and friendly athmosphere - anything else but stiff. Reservations are recommended
Bundner Stube Restaurant or “Veltliner Weinstuben” is located at the ground floor of Romantik Hotel Stern on a quiet sidestreet a few blocks (approx 500m) from the ABC Swiss Quality Hotel where we were staying at.
It exudes a traditional Graubunden style, with interiors mostly in wood. Ambience is quite impressive, yet charming and cozy. We got there about an hour before its closing time on a Saturday evening.
Food is great. I had a veal fillet and my hubby had a liver dish (both of which I forgot the names, I’m sorry) but were very very good. Their menu has great selection of Swiss classics. Service great. Staff very attentive and friendly.
Quite pricey, as anywhere else in Switzerland, but was worth it.

We ate here while overnighting in Chur on the recommendation of our hotel. My husband had the 2 course special which included venison stroganoff, red cabbage with chestnuts and a larger local spatzle type dish. Dessert consisted of icecream, meringue and chestnut. The food was tasty and delicious as was the interesting calf's liver salad that I had. Service was prompt and our waitress very helpful. Menu was also provided in different languages.
The meal was not cheap but I'm not familiar with Swiss prices.
We very much enjoyed the meal and would recommend.

As the traffic on the highway was so heavy we decided to stop in Chur to have dinner.
We jumped in at the La Vita and we were very positive surprised. The staff is super friendly and professional and the kitchen made an amazing job. The ambiente is ok.

It is quite hard to find, but a true discovery. Stunning view overlooking the ancient town of Chur. Immaculate and exceptionally friendly service. Creative cooking, mouth-watering display on the plate. A quality that is unbeatable by any other place in Chur. We just loved it!

Had a lovely ice cream there in the afternoon and went back for dinner ( only a few minutes from our hotel in the old town). A Tex-Mex restaurant but my wide was able to find a simple tasty chicken and chips while I had a delicious quesadilla. (This is a duplicate review because the restaurant goes under the name Olegra when you get inside so I reviewed that first!)

Service was uncharacteristically chaotic. We seemed to switch from a waitress to waiter who wasn't aware that we'd already ordered drinks. Pizzas came to the wrong table. When the right pizzas arrived, one was burnt. Another pizza arrived 10 minutes after the first two. Decent food.

We chose this restaurant for the homemade capuns, a local specialty. We were told that the bonanza steak was "to try" so we got that too. The food was very good.
The only not so pleasant part of the visit was that we were told thought that we could get a fitness plate as the side dish to the steak. In the end we were charged for a full fitness plate on top of the steak price. Had we been told ahead of time, we probably would have still agreed to it but it felt a bit yucky to have it tacked on at the end.

Comfortable smal Old Town Restaurant directly at the St. Martinsplace
Came to Chur for a day trip and found dead this restaurant while exploring.
I noticed that they had my favourite speciality from the region on their card: Capuns.
It was absolutely delicious and the service was super friendly even though they were very busy during lunch.
Definitely recommending this restaurant and hopping to go back soon.
