Had both lunch and dinner here this week, so have seen the place both in sunlight and at night.
Food is excellent and on the expensive side. We had sashimi, tempura and green curry for lunch and the were all great dishes. My girlfriend actually rated the salmon sashimi the best she'd ever had. And she has had a lot of salmon...
For dinner we had fish cakes, smoked mackerel in curry paste and a whole grilled jackfish. Again, all of it was supreme quality. The mackerel was very spicy, the jackfish was interesting - almost swordfish texture. Fishcakes were fishcakes - nothing more, nothing less.
Service were a bit confusing, even more so during dinner than for the lunch serving.
Most of the staff speaks very poor English, which doesn't help. No attitude though, all staff are very nice, just a bit whimsy...
All in all, the quality of the food outweighs the shaky service, but should be dealt with, to justify the price level.

Italian Pizzeria!!
I had house guests visiting from Naples Italy. I had heard of this restaurant for years and decided to take them there for dinner. They loved it. We had two different pizza and two different pasta. Everything passed their critical review with flying colors. While located on a side street there was easy parking. We had to wait a few minutes for a table but it was well worth the wait. The staff is very friendly efficient and knowledgeable. All in all a great hit.

Thong Dee - The Katu Brasserie serves classic European dishes, Authentic Thai Cuisine and House Specialties in a cozy environment with jazzy tunes in the background. Its a place for every occasion and every pocket with that personal touch that makes the difference
I always make a point of visiting Thong Dee when I'm in town and I'm never disappointed. Fantastic food, excellent service as always. You're still the best around guys. See you soon. Neil & Khag

Where Friends Meet.Happy Days, in the heart of Chalong is famed for many things, its great food, budget accommodation and amazing ice-cold beers.
Brilliant breakfast, decent coffee, cheap beer, wide selection of tasty Thai food and western dishes, wine and cocktails, single malt whisky. Happy days is a fabulous bar, with fun staff, good music and pool table. Great for people watching too.

The Tavern sportbar&restaurant is located in the centre of Kata tourist area inside a busy soi . Tourists and holiday makers are always made to feel at home in the relaxed and familary atmosphere!Serving thai and European food, cocktails, wine and icecold beer! Open since 1 april 2005 The Tavern has been entertaining guests in Kata successfully for many years.5 TV screens, showing all NRL,AFL,SUPER RUGBY EPL AND F1 also a free pooltable and other games.
Located down a quiet street off the main drag! Consistently open later than most bars/restaurants around. Food was prepared fresh to order everytime, waiting a few extra minutes was worth it. We ate here a couple times during our stay. Food was excellent everytime! Awesome spring rolls, great selection of craft beers, liquor and ciders, and quite possibly THE BEST Tom yum we had on the island! Also, every possible Television channel you could need if you’re looking for any sports broadcast from back home; anywhere!
John was an amazing host. He runs the front while his Mrs takes care of the back. Together they made the perfect team! Personally, John thank you for all tips both for Kata Beach area as well as tips for our stay back in Bangkok. You nailed them all! Best of luck to both of you, and until we see you again, Cheers!
A must stop if you’re in the area!

Look out for our sign , we have provided a photo of it . We have an Acoustic Guitarist playing on Sundays , he plays from 2.00 - 5.00 PM . He sings a lot of classic 60's - 70's . Very easy listening and as well as our Lamb Leg Roast or Loin of Pork, a very pleasant Sunday .
This is a plain simple eatery. The scenery is nice but given overall beauty of Phuket nothing special. Serves international and Thai food with acceptable quality. But I have to say that those terrific food and restaurant photos I had seen in other reviews create overexpectation and eventual disappointment. Take those photos as good artistic expressions not as what you expect to see. Nice place for a refreshment break.

We, me and my wife and son, were invited here by friends who were very happy with the service we had provided on their diving trips. It comes highly recommended, so expectations were high. And the friends did not disappoint, the company was excellent.
The food though was not very special. The French food me and my son ordered was ok, although the french fries were cold, but nothing special. 3 different small steaks, one of which was ok, 2 were average at best. The cordon blue somebody else ordered was apparently good, the Thai food my wife ordered was not very tasty.
All in all we would not go back, for the same money I would prefer a place like Le Celtique in Rawai/Nai Harn, and for similar quality but more reasonable prices there are quite a few alternatives in the Chalong-Rawai area.
