Chac mool its a beach club restaurant on the hart of Chacala Nayarit, Mexico we are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. come and enjoy a truly traditional mexican gourmet food from this pacific ocean with our particular twist.
Unfortunately, we had a hard time getting served here. We waited a half hour to get a waiter and had trouble getting their attention to get questions answered, second beers, and food even though I speak Spanish and they have great English. I don't know if it was just a bad night or a typical since we didn't go back. The food was good but not better than other restaurants in Chacala.

I tried to tell you about this palapa restaurant on the beach in Chacala, Nayarit but for some reason you did not want to take it?? Not sure why, but this place has fabulous fresh seafood
Nice spot right on the Chacala beach. A big open covered area offers cool shade while you enjoy the yummy array of fresh seafood. The fresh guacamole makes a terrific starter before any of the grilled fish on the menu. We had great service from waiters that spoke English well.

Whenever we visit this area, we visit Hinde Y Jamie for the margaritas and the shrimp tacos. Jorge, an excellent bartender makes the BEST margarita that I've ever tasted. There is enough Tequila to give a pleasant glow without that rude rude harsh flavour so common in other places. The shrimp tacos never change, they are always prepared fresh and served piping hot! I love the atmosphere of this little bar. It feels like a little hideaway in a quaint Mexican town.... Wait a minute. It is! So refreshing from some of the high end places springing up all over the area. See you next year. Hasta luego!

On the beach. We didn't have an unmbrella or chairs so our plan was to get some shade on the beach, order some drinks, chips and guacamole and park ourselves. We ended up ordering some food and it was all really good. The chips and guacamole were yummy. They must have a lot of lard in the beans--so good--haha. They have bathrooms and a hose to wash off the sand. Gets a little loud with competing music from the different restaurants lined up on the beach. There was a lifeguard. Vendors come by selling their wares. The place was packed by the end of the afternoon but they were quick to get our bill to us when we asked. Friendly service.

It's a nice little walk from the beach, and a good breakfast. We've had the waffles and pancakes and eggs.
Our most recent visit this week I didn't remember that it closes at 11. Important to know when one arrives at 10 expecting to lounge. That's probably why the waitress rushed through, unlike Susanna's caring attention.
The cafe sells coffee from a local plantation at great prices.
Eggs Mexicano, Huevos Rancheros, 2 fruit bowls and 2 coffees was just over $200 MX.

Tapas Bar at the south far end of the beach is a tranquil space surrounded by nature. Come and enjoy delicious fish tacos, shrimp prepared in many ways. The best ceviches and aguachiles on the beach
Super great service right on the beach where the jungle meets the sand. Cold beer served with snacks. Good tapas menu at reasonable prices. Watch some surf in front or sit under the giant parota trees.

Las Brisas is a simple, local clean hotel.
Staff Karly was helpful and friendly.
Location right on the beach was great.
Very minimal amenities in the room.
Breakfast was included and was good.
Laundry sent out locally and came back quickily, in great condition.
All rooms had air conditioning.
Some friends were concerned with the cleaning smells and the dampness of bedding due to humidity and ac.

The location of this amazing restaurant has changed over the years. Don't be intimidated by the change of location or the steps
To reach this culinary paradise. It is a great place to see the sunset and escape from the village noise (especially during holiday/festival times). The menu is unusual In a great way - especially if you are an expat/long term traveler looking for something other than a burrito / grilled fish (which can also be found in this secretly wonderful village).
Depending on how busy they are, service can be slower than American expectations. But the presentation and flavored are all
Worth it. This is more of a European style meal - meant to be savored and with much time spent talking with your table mates. This place is a real gem!

Pineda restaurant specializes in seafood and refreshing drinks. It is a restaurant that has experience and respect for the tradition and taste that have made him famous, also has a unique view right to the sea. We are committed to provide quality care with warmth.
Seven of us went here with reservation, quickly seated at great ocean view table. Perfect ocean views and atmosphere. Ordered drinks and selection in great. They serve fantastic blended drinks, huge gasses, great value!!!
Menu is diverse, great fish and shrimp dishes! I had coconut crusted Mahi Mahi, fantastic fish dish. Others had shrimp dishes and fajitas, everyone really enjoyed the meal, service was great throughout.
We would com back here again and plan to on next visits to area. Incredible value, my wife and I had 4 drinks and the two entrees, total was 550. Hard to believe you can have a meal like this with ocean view for basically $40.00 Canadian. At home, that would be the cost of drinks with taxes!!!! Can see why this place is ranked #1 here!!

We had good recommendations for this restaurant and it's probably worth another try but our two orders were a total miss. The "camerones al coco" (supposedly a house speciality) were covered in sweet shreddred coconut and deep-fried. the sugared shredded coconut batter completely overwhelmed the shrimp - couldn't taste them no matter how hard i tried, so what's the point? i've had lightly battered shrimp with unsweetened coconut that's achieved a balance with the subtle shrimp flavor, but this was a total wipeout.
The other dish was avocado stuffed shrimp salad. All the ingredients were there: chopped camarones, some celery, etc but it was drowned in a cup of mayonnaise - couldn't taste anything but mayonnaise! ended up rolling the ingredients on napkins to get rid of the mayonnaise, but even that didn't work. The lightest vinaigrette, or maybe just a teaspoon of mayonnaise, might have done it. nothing worse than gagging over mayo!
maybe if we'd just ordered guacamole and pan-fried fish, or bbq ribs, the story might have been different, but we'd been ordering that for a few days on the beach and were looking for a change.
